I got the first one, and i think they have micron D9gmh chips, but mine don't do well, not Cl4 1000MHZ at 2.2V, even not booting, and 1200mhz even not with 2,3V, i think i didn't got the best one, but you can try your luck and get one, but from know on, i prefer only used DDR2 from eBay or anywhere else because they're cheap ( the most expensive one about 30€ ) and if they don't overclock well, you can sell them.
    Hope could help you

    Hi Guys,

I have a set of Corsair Dominator 8500C5D's (2x2gb) v2.2. I've looked at the IC's that are on the set, and all i can gather from the corsair forum is that they are Micron.Gdies.

What IC am i looking at here and what sort of clocks can i expect from them?

I'm reaching 1098mhz on my DFI DK-790FXB-M2RSH with a 940BE at 2.1v. I haven't really tried any other volts as i don't wanna kill em quicker.

Anything after 1098 i get multiple errors in winmemtest but everything else passes perfect!

OCCT Linpac test runs for approx 30 mins before i cancel it and no errors whereas memtest runs less than 2 mins and finds 2 errors.

I can get it posteable until 1200, and it gets into windows perfectly fine, until i run a bench then it dies (i'm actually guessing it's my IMC when this happens as it's running @ 2.75ghz.

Any help with what IC is on these sticks, and possibly with some timing/safe volts/speeds would be awsome!

    Thanks guys!

As i said... they are micron g-dies (what ever the hell those are! :P)

I can't seem to get anything out of them! even setting 2.3v @ 1120 i get fails on OCCT linpac.

With the gigabyte board i had them running at 1160 @ 2.35v perfectly fine, just on this dfi board there are subtimings i cannot figure out for the life of me!

if any1 can help me out that'd be great!

    Thanks

ok i figured out what the issue was.

I only pumped 2.35v through them for 5-10 mins to see if they would pass memtest (within less than a min they would error).

The issue was with subtiming (TWR and TWTR being too low).

I used memset to find some of the subtimings from SPD. I'm now able to pass memtest @ 1120 @ 2.2v with 5-5-5-15-4-22-8-4.

Thanks for the help though guys, i'm a much happier now that i can get 12kmb/s copy and 11kmb/s read!

    Thanks guys!

What is a safe voltage for a g-die btw?

*Yes at 1066 it passes perfectly fine*

    I have 3 crucial sets
    1. tracers 1066 - 600 5-5-5-15 spi32m stable on 2.12v, but can't stabilize them under dos version of memtest even at 2.2v - any clues?
    2. tracers 800 - 575 5-5-5-15 memtest stable on 2.2, can't make 600 even at 2.5v,
    3. lanfest 800 - can't make 600 even at 2.5v, haven't tested lower frequencies.

    Any clues guys?

That's what I don't get, how can 3 totally different sets of mem don't oc at least to 600 5-5-5-15.

Haven't got bigger problems with ocing promos to such frequencies but d9 is a nightmare.

Only the 1st Gen DDR2-1150 C5 Flex kits had D9GMH, I remember reading for sure that the 800 C3 kits were not Micron-based.
