Hey guys, i saw a thread here somewhere, with somebody hitting 670 fsb with the dfi dk p45 trs2, looks like a killer board, but the ud3p is killer to, didnt highcookie hit 675 fsb with the ud3p, but i agree with Zsamz, i dont like gigabytes.

It looks like there was some D9GMH manufactured in 2008 after all. This is a shot of the chips on the G.Skill HK kit I got in today from MemoryC as a replacement for my Cellshock 8000 C5 that died.
The DFI LP DK P45-T2RS PLUS is actually cheaper that then the other by about $5 at Newegg for $149.99.
Well now I'm torn between the Gigabyte UD3P and the DFI P45-T2RS.
My Team Group GKX are also made in 2008.It looks like there was some D9GMH manufactured in 2008 after all. This is a shot of the chips on the G.Skill HK kit I got in today from MemoryC as a replacement for my Cellshock 8000 C5 that died.

I went thru 3 gigabyte board in 4 months, one of them died on me, i can safely say i wont own one again. I have my first asus board, much better , and now im buying my 2nd asus board. Zsamz if your considering a ddr3 board, the asus rampage extreme is the best of the best, thats going to be my new board.

You have a longggggggggggggggg wait for ddr4, ddr3 is just getting going, its up to 2133 cas 7, THATS BORING ?, probally hit 2500-2600 before it goes ddr4, i made the switch to ddr3 glad i did.

I see what you're saying. No the IC's have a 7 on them. Everest reports they were made in 2008, but that could have just been when they were assembled.
IMO the price to performance of DDR3 is focked. You have to spend some serious cash to get 2000Mhz DDR3 with any decent latency. Who wants DDR3 1600Mhz C9? Not me, I'll stick with DDR2 for another 9 months or so. Still waiting for the DDR3 equivalent of the Micron D9. That's what makes it boring to me.

Very nice!
If you guys were buying a DDR2 775 board just for benching (Pi and 01 mostly) what would it be? Needs to hit high FSB of course. Crossfire support would be a plus but not a requirement

Well, I received the Crucial 2x2Gb Ballistix Tracers meant to replace my 4x1gb 8500 Ballistix Tracer 16fd3's.
They are kit of 2X2GB BL25664AL80A, 16FE5. white sticker under CRUCIAL.COM reads: number 20 in circle with: CL1119P.35 103638
They sent them in a thin plastic bubble wrap envelope packaged in the standard plastic Crucial 2 pak, I'm amazed they were'nt bent or broken. Of course the email they sent me about my returning my 4x1gb had a stern warning about how I should package the modules correctly and responsibly or they would not be responsible for the damage.
Here are my thoughts on the new 2x2gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer 6400:
They dont overclock as well as the original 4x1gb 16fd3's setup, but I guess they are close. They had no problem doing my lastest 24/7 overclock of
q6600 @8x430, 3440mhz CPU, 2X2GB 1076mhz@55515 2.0v on Asus p5k deluxe.
Whats a little disturbing to me is the performance numbers, especially the Everest memory latency which i find is a number you can actually feel when gaming and in computer response.
My orginal 4x1gb setup actually got better Everest Memory Latency of
51.3 with 4x1gb 16fd3's
I was expecting Everest Memory Latency to improve going to 2x2gb setup.
This is not the case with the New 2x2gb Tracers. With the same overclock of q6600@8x430, 3440mhz CPU, 2X2GB 1076mhz@55515 2.0v
On Asus p5k deluxe I get Everest Memory Latency of 52.8. not bad but slower than before.
The difference being the memory subtimings on the New 2x2gb tracers.
Especially the refresh cycle time trfc.
On my old 4x1gb 16df3 tracers I ran subtimings of 3 30 3 3.
On the new 2x2gb tracers refresh cycle time trfc is a whopping 52 on memset. I can set it down to 46 before i get bsod.
This proably accounts for the Everest Memory latency of 52.8 with new 2x2gb set. On my old 4x1gb Tracer setup I had a trfc of 30. Why is the trfc so high?
Is this common to all 2x2gb sets? I have also tested the new set up to 1100mhz 9x333 with no problem. I'm not happy with the very high trfc of 52 Its killing the Everest Memory Latency number which for me equates to computer response.
The one good set of 2x1gb Tracers i have left can get a 49.5 memory latency @ 44412 1076mhz with the 8x430.
I dont know if im going to keep the new 2x2gb Tracers and send back my 4x1gb. I will have to give that some thought. My old 4x1 setup was slightly faster. I may send these back and just stay 2x1gb and pick up a second 2x1gb or try another 2x2gb set.
Thinking about trying this Gskill set here

Has anyone had any experience with these?

Try setting 4-4-4 sub timings then reducing TRFC.

Its not that I don't want to keep them!
The problem is whether or not I can bring myself to trade a working set of 2x1gb Crucial Ballistix Tracers that will do q6600 @8x430 1075mhz @ 44415 all day at 2.2v with the lowest 24/7 Everest memory latency score I have to date of 49.5.
Haven' t decided yet still testing the 2x2gb Tracers.
However I'm leaning toward sending the 2x2gb back. Here's why, I don't wont to have only one decent pair of ram around. If these new buggers fail and they will, I will be hanging out Zippidy Dodah waiting on Crucial to replace them with no ace in the hole backup.
My thoughts, keep my hot rod 2x1 gb (Known Quantity)
Send the 2x2gb tracers back, get the gskill 8500 I linked to in my last post and test them out versus the 2x2gb tracers. If they are better their keepers, not as good back they go and I can then get a set of the 2x2 gb tracers. In the meantime I still have my ace in the hole 2x1gb hotrods on standby. With the option of keeping my other bad set of 2x1gb Tracers 16fd3s and trying to replace the one bad stick with one from one of you kind Chuckle heads or swap them with Crucial for the new 2x1gb tracer 8500
BTW, The only way I could get the Refresh Cycle Time (trfc) below 45 was set FSB TO NORTHBRIDGE strap to 333 and set memory to 860mhz running @ 44415 with Everest memory latentcy of around 56.8. the lowest i could set trfc to was 42 on asus p5k deluxe bios. Next lowest setting was 35 and it would not post @ 35 however it would go down to 36 using memset So far I cant run any other speed above 860mhz without setting trfc to auto and it then SPD's to 51 after that I'm able to get it down to 46 with memset. As i mentionted before with my old 4x1gb 8500 Tracers I was running subtimings of 3 30 3 3. From 30 to 51. Wrong direction
What's up with this massive "SPD" Refresh Cycle Time (trfc) spd of 51?
I'll ask again for you guys with 2x2gb ddr2, Is this normal for all 2x2gb ddr2 ram?

i plan on using my UD3P for my quad for now and the UT-P35-T2R will use my E8500.so i think ill be just fine.cause the kind of bandwidth im talking about comes from very high fsb speeds and thats too hard with a quad no matter what board im using.
