Same here Ket. I have more D9GMH than I know what to do with, and two kits of D9GKX (Cellshock 8000 C5 and Team 9600 C5). I have one Dominator 10000 C5 kit that I'm not sure if it's GMH or GKX.

They should be ok, but I doubt they'll be as good as your CellShock. Good luck with them, post some benches when they come in.

I just made the switch back to DDR2 from DDR3 and picked up a Asus Rampage Formula along with a 2GB kit of CellShock PC2-6400 (800Mhz @ 4-4-4-12 and their verified D9GKX). I switched from a DFI X48-T3R and a 2GB kit of D9GTR and hadn't used DDR2 RAM for a few months so its taking some time to get back into it. I just barely got everything up and running last night and at the moment I'm running the RAM at default speeds and clocks but I'm hopful this RAM will be capable of decent speeds and latencies! My last kit of DDR2 (before making the switch to DDR3) was a 2GB kit of Ballistix PC2-8500 with D9GMH IC's (infact I've come to like GMH over GKX from the testing I've done over time). Granted GKX is usually binned higher but I"ve just had better results with GMH in my own testing. I traded my old Swiftech MCP-655 waterpump for this 2GB kit of Cellshocks so I'm hoping I can get some decent results from them!

Between GMH and GKX I have to say both kinda of ICs are about equal, although from my experiences GKX tends to do the same clocks as GMH at lower voltages, which is always a nice bonus. Right now I'm trying to figure out why my system keeps failing OCCT, think it has something to do with CPU M-E, so if it is that, no real surprises there

Hey thats a stroke of genius I should have painted those dominators pink! I wasn't going to mention it but I've also beaten up old ladies and knocked over guys in wheelchairs while stealing their D9 ram sticks.

Ok sounds like my board might have reached its limit, which is fine its probably better just using the second set as backup. Not to mention my operating system is XP Home.

4 x 1GB is hard to stabilize, much more so than 2 x 2GB, as it puts a lot more strain on the MCH. The P5Q-Deluxe can run 4 x 1GB at ~1200MHz with ~1.34 vNB, with moderate FSB, so perhaps your board has a weaker MCH.

You could try lapping your heatsinks. These days stock cooling is usually pretty good on mainboards once lapped as long as the manufacturer hasnt gone "ZOMG lets see how much fake copper we can get on the board!" Lapped to a nice flat shiny finish I bet things will function much better. One thing I do hate is that copper coating rubbish and the lack of fans on stock mobo heatsinks these days.

I might have to try that. I also have a few small fans that would fit perfectly on the heatsinks, I was using them on my 650i northbridge heatsink. I wonder if this would also help with my inability to crack 500 fsb.

The P45 does get blazing hot easily, a small fan will greatly help

meh just crank the volts up ram up that fsb ans it! it's only a mobo crank it up, some of these p45's need 1.4v+ to crack 500fsb.

Any ideas how high can I go with Cellshock 2x1gb PC8000 5-4-4 (CS2221450)?
I get 238 with 1,8 vdimm.Tried also 2.0 vdimm, but no better results..

238 MHz? How is that even possible? Something is very wrong mate. Should get 500 CL 4, 550+ @ 5-4-4.

My Ballistix are struggling to do 650MHz CL5 on the DFI LT P35, I'm playing with the DRAM CLK Fine Delay settings but it looks like they want a lot of VDIMM on this board. I'm already up to 2.45V in BIOS. This is on 433 FSB by the way, 2:3 divider. DDR2-1300 hasn't come as easily to me as others for some reason.

I think my cell shocks are lower binned micron d9gmh's because even my old ballistix 667mhz d9gmh's can do better at lower volts, I just dont get it.

Patriot Viper PC2-9600 (D9GKX?) at 2.0v. This overclock has passed OCCT 2hr. mix and can run overnight crunching seti/climate prediction. CPU vcore is 1.280v under load.

Are you sure they haven't degraded? My Team 1200 D9GKX only need 2.12v for 600MHz on my DFI P35.
