Pretty good Pifast and high speed 1M

Haven't done 2D in a while, but I did so today with some left over LN2...used a 790i/GTX280 3D installation on a Rampage Extreme lol, so the OS is as crappy as you could imagine.

CPU is a Q820A593 E8600 cooled with Dragon F1 original...the vcore is...high...as you can see.

    14.59 sec PiFast - 6403MHz

The Rampage's only weakness is 1M...but anyways...6507MHz is pretty nice to look at

Neither, I'm 99.999% certain it's a cache latency issue. I think the pre-45nm BIOSes have disabled features that we don't notice but speed up the L1 and/or L2. That's why only 1M and smaller SuperPi calculations get a boost. It's not memory related, as if it were, the boost would apply to 3D and 32M for instance, but it doesn't.

I agree, Some form of error checking or acceleration feature related.

    Very nice runs Gautam!

46125 PP is possible with Rampage Extreme, didn't try real hard so perhaps even better should be possible.
