exact same results
faster DDR2/lower timings always shaved off many seconds not DDR3

what's the max oc of your cpu? 3,6ghz @only 1,2v looks good.
guess it's the e0 stepping that's helping a lot, eh?
the max of my q9550 seems to be somewhere between 3,6 and 3,8ghz. 3,6ghz runs quite good, but 3,8ghz crashes after the winxp welcome screen.

on a good mobo i was able to os boot @ 4500mhz @ less than 1.4v
as for max oc.. i gotta get a good mobo to find out
not a bad oc for c1 but should be able to do 450fsb - try a bit higher vcore/vtt/pll or depending on the mobo/bios probably needs GTL adjusting

yeah, i'm kinda new to today's intel overclocking (my last intel i did overclock was a p3 450mhz katmai) so i still need to wade through the whole vtt/pll/gtl stuff. it's pretty confusing if you're used to oc s939 amd platforms

note: if you prefer dvdshrink make sure you delete files @ C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DVD Shrink after each run
