Thumbs down Adware Junk on Xtreme Systems Forums?

Do the following adware show up on anyone elses screen? See below for details?

Website runs really slow as well, I'm just wandering if those adverts are slowing it down also.

The links appear to come from ad.yieldmanager.com

IIRC FUGGER Spoke about these additions in another thread. Maybe the Server Move thread.

Im noticing major slowdown here. But I also have no adds, I see the spaces for them but they're just white boxes. Maybe this is why its slow, because it can't find the images?

When I say slow I mean REALLY Slow, takes around 5 Seconds to load up this reply page. The simplest thread takes around 8 seconds to load, and some up to 15. Im on an 8Mb line.

I see them also and having just the faintest idea of what it costs to maintain this site( more than an average salary in the US) I'm glad Fugger did it.
As to speed, I'm on a 15/2mbit line and no issues at all..
And I have MJ12( bandwidth app) sucking 14 of the 15mbit

Fugger has to get some money to help pay for the site we all love. Im surprised it took this long to get ads on the site.

I have a better idea. Why don't we all click the ads and make money for the forum. I clicked one.

I'd just like for the side one to go away or go to the bottom. The side one is in the way, top and bottom is not.

Wait, who owns this site again?

I have no problems with the ads. Thanks for putting it up there to keep this XS alive and running.

    Thumbs up

Ahhh, I thought I had caught some some of adware/malware.

No big deal then, if it keeps the forums going it's all good the forum is slow tonight for me too.

i been using firefox with adblock-plus and i didn't even know there were ads on the forums until i saw this thread. firefox is fast and if you use the add-on, you won't see any of the ads. i when on XS with internet explorer just to see what the fuss is about, and i do see those green ads on the sides and top. so for all the people that mind those ads, just use firefox with adblock

I'm gettiong the slowdowns as well. I'm also experiencing issues with "back button hangs". I wasn't having this issue yesterday, but whenever I click back on my mouse it hangs on what I suspect are the ads it cannot find. I have no ads showing in the frames. The frames appear, but there is an "Internet Explorer Cannot Display The Webpage".

I would be willing to click the ads, but there are no ads there.

I'm holding out for the Pron ads. Not sure what has been signed up... but are the ads supposed to scan for keywords and throw something up thats relevant?

They seem to only be something about kids, and the environment, I'm happy with a top ad but like on [h] the side ad is evil, it makes people get adblockplus, also the little link ads that get put in every post.

You might wanna buy your own server to host your own site. Then come back and let us know how much it costs you to maintain your server and site.

well i've been about here since 2005 and there hasn't been ads till now?
And i already have my own site, so i know exactly how much it costs! I'd rather see a "Donate" tab than see these ad's!
Maybe i don't like change, lol
