Oh, I was hoping for non-Beta drivers and where is Vista 64-bit?
I guess I will have to be patient, although it's not like I desperately need new drivers. Well actually I do, I just can't get my PC to go into sleep mode and windows is telling me that it's the NVIDIA drivers for my video card and networking crap that are the culprit. But I think there ought to be ways to rectify that somehow, although I'm to lazy to look into it.

Did some quick tests with XP 32bit. Pretty much same results as 177.92s, but these are a little buggy, stuttering\crashes in Crysis and Im unable to change some color settings in the control panel.

    Im stickin with the 177.92s.

Really seems like these are older than 177.92.

I'd hold off until Next Week, I am not sure but I think nVidia are releasing their "Big Bang II" drivers within the next week or so and those ARE supposed to bring some good treats for us including.

    1) OpenGL 3.0 support
    2) Performance Enhancements across the board
    3) SLi Multi Monitor Support

Anyone know if these downclock properly? I just got my GTX 260 this week and went straight for the 177.92. The card does not downclock whatsoever in 2D mode. Regardless of how 'idle' my system is, it still sits at default 3D clocks. I really like to get those down to save on power, heat and noise.

This makes me a little sad. I was hoping there would be updated drivers for Vista X64 too.

I feel like I got the shaft here...but maybe soon right?

Do the 2d clocks work on a fresh boot? Or are they at 3d clocks all the time?

Card operates at 2D clock when you boot, but If you run 3D and exit out the clocks should fall back but they don't with this driver .

Is there anyway to prevent 2D downclocking if I want to? Like with rivatuner or something ?

Why would someone want same clocks for 2D and 3D?

@BulldogPO... only reason I can imagine is PC Mark 2002/05/Vantage
But yeah....for everyday usage it's useless.

I'm sick of updating my drivers every damn week. I'm sticking to 177.92 for now unless there is a really compelling reason to update, which there doesn't seem to be.

For me I get 3D clocks no matter what. Even after fresh reboot.

Well, on 1920*1200 the response is noticeable for me, I do a lot of window swapping and moving around.

Also I play 2D games sometimes which are quite complex (shooters) and it makes them a lot smoother too.

    177.92 don't downclock and I noticed this quite a lot =]

These are the worst drivers I've ever used when it comes to microstuttering in SLI.
