Good question, Sammy does throw a fit every time it boots, but works fine.

    Back from work..

Sorry guys, I gave them my cellphone number and they promised to get back to me with pricing and availability information, but it seems they had something better to do.
If the price s0lid got is from the same site, we can forget it anyways. They probably won't let them go below 100€ or so. Dang...

So it's 60 USD for the CPUs each.. I think I'm gonna pass :/
I got X5450 incoming, they'll do around 36-38k/d which equals around 4-5 Sammy's (which I wanted), but the Harpers use less power (300 vs. 500W guesstimation). Plus I need to raise 300€ w/o taxes for a 2nd Z7S... yes, they have actually gotten more expensive, argh! My 1st one cost me like 278€ net.

One? Bah.. I wanted 5 in a server rack
But that won't work with the CPUs at 60$ each :/

One just isn't Xtreme enough for me

Plus it's not worth the shipping hassle...

For the Sossaman, which goes into PGA sockets, you simply wire those two pins or use a conductive tape. In the end, you simply need to connect those two pins.

For recent Intel CPUs, which goes into LGA sockets, you use conductive ink to connect two points.

Which wouldn't go past 4Ghz anyways on my DFI cause it does for the hell of it not want to go above FSB 460 with a Quad - no thank you

Jaco, I don't think they're gonna respond or they would have done so yesterday
Plus if they tell s0lid the CPUs cost like 170€ they won't give it to me for 10...

Jcool u should ask better price from that place if might take over 20pcs of em.

No, they probably won't. They said they'd call me if they got any more, but they aren't planning on stocking up. That was just a small leftover position I'm afraid...

Do we know if Dave is willing to ship all of this crap to Europe?

Also, I think it would be best if we would all pay him the amount we owe him + 1/4 of the shipping costs instead of all at once, since we all need different parts. That makes it a little more easier I think. Shipping the rest within Europe could be arranged later. We will need a quote on the individual parts, the shipment within the US and the shipping to the EU so that we know how much to pay.

I already sent Movieman PM about this.

Uhm 3 guys taking the same package and one takes only heatsinks, yeaaa different parts =P

BTW the mobo + heatsinks + backplate package costs around $45 => 32€ w/o shippings

    Not bad tho...

Im not sure if I'd need any backplates or not.

The board has backplates on already, well what look like backplates anyway, metal plates behind the cpu socket area, these are detachable.

Dave should be able to tell us what it is these are.
