Make sure you selected the cd/dvd players name. You get that error when it's accessing the HD for the NT loader. Don't know about asus, but on my DFI, setting 'cd-rom' as first boot does nothing. I have to select Philips-*insert dvd-rom name*.

It isn't seeing your cd/dvd drive correctly. try a different drive. it gives a few seconds , can't read the disc correctly so it moves on to the next drive in the order.

    What did the message say?

For some systems, to boot from a CD/DVD drive it may ask you to press any key (or enter) to execute the file in the CD/DVD. If you don't respond in time the CD will stop spinning and will not continue. You'll have to reboot and start the process again.

Sounds like your are trying to boot as normal from the HDD. Go into your BIOS and set the boot order priority so that the optical drive is listed first. Then everything else after. Pop in the CD, F10, save and exit, and continue as normal.

If you still recieve the message when attempting to boot from CD, then it means you CD wasn't created properly.
