for me its overall 3d now even as I can tell even by am3 being in the 357k range when it should be in the 363k range that even this is seeing the drop

I would say maybe its a card issue, but the fact this has been shown by massman to happen at random and flashing the bioses dont help it at times me going form the sapphire which scaled all the way to 960/960 to these visiontek cards drops that theroy

I dont know.. You guys tried the 8.9 beta driver?
Just installed them on my XP Sp3, and run 3dmakr, dont enter in CCC or something, to adjust the performance, just installed, and run 3dmark .

Will try with higher clocks now..

    Guys.. what is the problem?
If I want to set with AMD Gpu Tool the GPU freq, i got this : "SetClock Failed! Please check device configuration!". Until now it worked like a charm, but now no . I tried to remove and reinstall the display driver, but got same sh*t .

    Anyone, please?

when you first boot to windows wait tfor CCC to load if installed 'show in taskbar in the bottom left'

then open am3 as to run and just exit out 'or run the quick bench in full'

this initialize both cores then and only after you run or laod a 3d app open amdoctool and enter the gpu+ddr clocks hit set then drop down menu to second core and set gpu+drr clocks for that and set

if you dont run 3d you will never correctly set both cores with amdoctool 'winxp anyways' think of running a quick am3 each boot as a warmup

this still doesnt fix the issue some/most are getting including myself with the card running full speed as I once had no prob with single card and some prob with cfx and now I have prob all around not just 03 gt2/3

CCC is the only successful software im aware of to date, and it is limited by the max clocks signatures.

looks like No_Name and spl have benched at 960Mhz core and 900Mhz core in Xfire

i assume it's the Asus bios they are using to achieve this

    it's a bit of a mess

dinos you can flash/edit the bios to whatever you want so as long
as you do that you dont have to use CCC or amdoctool, but this
doesnt seem to be a fix for the bug

here is another example of the bug this in winxp +spk1, singlecard
and was tested from 4ghz to 4800mhz and stock vga clocks to
850/950 and the scaling is deff there, but it seems perf is off before I started

fine gt/gt4, but low gt2/3 and I have done scard on 4870x2 release
with same config/os/install and now on a new card it seems the score
is 10k off cant be card to card variation 'hehe' can it?

thing is MM if you have to flash a bios to gain higher clocks you could also brick the cards if you flash it to unstable clocks can't you?!?

    outch 10K just like that

Correct DIno, which is why im searching for a windows solution.
Otherwise finding max clocks on LN2 will be a pain as i'll have to creep up kinda slowly - as opposed to my normal work backwards from crashing methods

    8.9 beta XP SP2 800-930 mhz:

    8.8 official Vista SP1 800-930:

Think these should be normal for clocks. Low ones on same settings are around 85k.

Quite rite cowie, I can confirm that overclocking all four gpu's as well as fan control will work with the RT 2.11 release. It also includes clone mode for both fan and gpu, just set master gpu and all others will follow. unwinder does great work.
