    This ist not my problem.
The FW for the ARC-1220 ist my problem.
I get the message "Invalid Firmware Signature"
    I need a FW-Hack...

Assuming you get the firmware to work, how will you use it ?

It looks like the main difference is raid 6. You would probably have to find the signature code on the FW, and update it to look like the sig. on the 1210. Not sure how easy that would be, but if you are not going to use raid 6, I didn't see much other benefit.

I can create Raid 6 with ARC-1210, too.
2 drives with data and 2 drives with parity

IOP333 is working on my 1210
At last saturday i have a new ARC-1261D-ML. PCB and CPU is the same like 1231 and 1280. The difference is FW and more/less soldered SAS-4i-ports and 1 missing controler-chip (one for 4 SATA-Ports)

    Any success?
I think i am in the same boat. I have not tryed the card yet but it says 1220 on the pcb. The point i pressume is to make the cpu run at 500MHz or? I shall try a bit when i get my card installed.

    Hey there guys,
I have one of these cards.
It says 1220 chip on it but its only 4 port.
Im trying to get it to work on my Asus P6T-x58 Deluxe Motherboard, so far all it does is just beep at post, but i cant see any bios for it?

I would appreciate any help or support you guys have.
I am not a computer spastic at best but I cant see how it doesnt appear.

    Is it software driven?
I bought this card used and I was told it was in working order.
What would be my first step in testing it actually works?

    Thanks in advance
    Pete
