    thank you.

i just actually flashed the bios to 1050mhz.

in GPU-Z shows in the first screen 1050mhz but in the sensors shows only 1000mhz. in rivatuner the same, shows memories at 1000mhz.

did i miss a step for memories in the RBE?? i put in the clocks 10, 11 and 12 800mhz and 1050mhz.... or maybe riva and gpu-z doesnt show the frequency properly??

put the desired clocks into all BIOS settings, not just 10,11,12

... my MSI R4870x2-OC (780/900 stock) has Hynix, too.

But I didn't yet dare to force-flash it with the TOP bios, would it work on this card?

Don't see why not. Have a emergency backup flash in case its not. I don't think you'll need it though.

Guys, Just flashed with the TeamAU bioses on Post 32.
Vgpu is still 1.26 despite adjusting the ROMS to 1.35v.

    Is the hardmod required?
I read all the way through but saw some conflicting info.

On the upside, I'm now stable at 825x1000 in any event. Was unable to surpass 960 on the mem prior

Sapphire card is ok with the TOP bios here...
with another Asus one,i`m trying to adjust clocks...840/950 till now easily...
so if i give to all 10,11,12 clocks in RBE the desired clocks, they will be the 3D ones?

    Hi Guys,
I flash the asus top bios in my powercolor 4870x2 using the team-au bios file and information from the previous post and everything seemed okay.
The driver installs but after reboot it does not recognize the vga.
I tried to installs differents drivers but no one worked.
    Anyone know what that problem?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english

Does your Powercolor have Hynix memory? It probably won't work with Qimonda.

Could be the voltage settings if they have been modified above stock.

Are you sure you flashed them to the correct cores, they are different than the 3870x2.

    I used theses commands:

    atiflash -p -f 0 teamau-0.rom master
    atiflash -p -f 1 teamau-1.rom slave

    Is that right?

Not sure about the 4870x2, but on the 3870x2, the master is 1 and the slave is 0. You may want to double check that.

    Bricked HD 4870X2?

Would it consider brick after flash the bios with no post screen but run flawlessly on Windows driver.
If no how do i can recover the card.
If yes can i still use it as crossfire since it no problem to run under windows.

    Thanks

Don't understand the problem but if your card wont display you could blind flash or even better use a PCI card to see what you are doing & re flash the 4870x2.

You're right cirthix. I just spent a couple hours troubleshooting what I thought was a bricked Asus 4870x2 (hynix). The commands should be:

    atiflash -p -f 1 teamau-0.rom
    atiflash -p -f 0 teamau-1.rom

sail-fish...use the commands I just posted and it will correct the problem you are experiencing.

While the Asus TOP bios do allow you to clock your memory higher, it must be as a result of looser memory timings.

    Prior to Flash - 830/1025 (4.1Ghz)
    After Flash - 830/1125 (4.5Ghz)

While that 4.5Ghz GDDR5 speed sure looks impressive, it doesn't really perform all that different than the 4.1Ghz prior to the flash.

I'm going to install a FC waterblock on my visiontek card later this week. Is this bios compatible with visiontek? Also, just to make sure that 1000mhz mem is okay on my card, is it safe to flash one bios, reboot, check windows, then flash the other?
