Ouch that sucks, if there would be a fix thumbs project on wcg I'd switch to it for you, but in the absence of that, good luck and hope the doctors know what they are doing.

I've got 2 screws in my left knee and the right one needs the same treatment :S . will upload xrays asap...

I also used to have 6 screws in my back and two rods ( everything was titanium)...they were placed due to a car crash ( dad's fault while driving :S).. I have also a piece of bone removed from the hip to be used as a graft in the back..

painful to say the least.. tramadol and vicodin were a POS ( piece of what you know :P) when they had to handle pain . That type of pain can be devastating..

has it been away ( pain) yet? all my best

    OMG, the franken-thumb thread lives!!

Hope it comes out well LO, let us know.

You know, since you posted this, I think it's saved me from the same deal several times. I had the habit of going right from gas welding, to the grinder, since the part is hot, and I'm in a hurry. (I'm always in a friggin' hurry, I don't know why.....) After this thread, I put a big quench bucket next to the grinder. I have not ground a part with gloves on for some time....Thx for that LO!

    My best,
    Bob

Well thanks Bob I am glad I could help. You know the bad part is if I wouldn't have had my gloves on I wouldn't have had a thumb to fix.
I took pics but didn't think anyone was really interested in seeing them so I didn't post them. They are not as fun to look at as the other ones were.
