Yep I did do the X1950Pro modded BIOS too. I'm still quite proud of that even now not every day you can say a 1950Pro can get up to a 30% performance boost with AA and AF just by doing a BIOS flash

    performance is slower
    overclock is lower

You can't just expect better performance off the bat, each system is different and sometimes you have to work for it. Go check the P45 OC thread over at TPU which me and Tigger started. Theres a lot of general advice for the P5Q series.

im sorry, i wasnt complaining, just posting my results.

1004 isnt the best bios to use on the P5Q anyways. 1306 is a much better bios for this board, and im looking forward to trying your version when its ready.

Can BIOS be modded to have exact voltages also to not do overvolt at AUTO ? Or it depends on the exact board and regulators ?
Did u think about moding Deluxe BIOS 1306 ?

I try 1201 moded BIOS and now i can reach 548 FSB stable PL10 1:1 with strap 400 instead of 532 FSB strap 333 before because strap 400 wont work
My everest speeds and latency are equal as "truehighroller" shot 2 post above... I am sure when you ready with 1306 mod it will be better
    Keep good work

Holy crap those are some mighty clockspeeds and FSB frequency for a quad. All that isn't just down to these mBIOSes I do is it? If it is.. damn.. didn't realise they were THAT good.

Stable 485. I know the temps.. I will try to get the voltage down lower and it will drop. I know I could get 4Ghz if I had better cooling.

You still using stock cooling? If so have you looked into a Scythe Ninja? With a high CFM fan thats a killer cooling combo.

No cooling is in my sig thermalright extreme. I am perfectly happy with my 480 setting now that my one to one works like it should I just wanted to see if I could get further that's all. Which I kind of did I can get it to boot at 4Ghz but not into windows. My temps are holding me back I know it. This is lapped as well so.. best it will get with this cooler I suppose.

ah right, well 3.8GHz is nothing to sniff at from a quad thats for sure clockspeed rivals what most duals tend to average, so all I can say is you lucky sod

I waited on the 1306 version as I like the lower voltages I can use with it. For the first time since getting the motherboard, and with 3 different cpu's and 3 different sets of ram, the board will POSt and load Vista with a Strap setting on something other than Auto. 400 Strap and 1066 on the ram. Haven't tried anything else but that Strap thing is worth the d/l and flash by itself. Anything else will just be gravy. Good job, Ket.

Ok this is my last post and with it I say you are the man ket. I am where I was but, you fixed the pull ins by doing what you did so now I am getting better latencies. This is back down to my norm temps as well here..
