Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Driver 2.18 on Windows XP 32-bit

I recently reformatted my primary harddrive and tried using Creative's newest drivers (2.18). My sound card is a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum. I made sure this driver was compatible with Windows XP, and according to Creative's site, it is. Well this driver failed, and so did attempts to uninstall it. I only tried to fix it for about 10 minutes before I decided I would just reformat again because I didn't feel like trying to fix it anymore. I figured this would be quicker anyway as I hadn't started restoring my files yet .

Anyways, I'm using a slightly older driver now, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with this driver on Windows XP 32-bit?

Hmm. I tried the newest version several times and it failed all of them. I'm now using 02.09.0016 without a problem. Right now I don't plan on upgrading as I don't really feel like having my sound crap out on me again lol.
