Anyone remember the movie Independence Day...when they go down into Area 51 and look at the aliens in the glass cylinders...
yeah...
Biocides aren't 100%, they prevent "most" kinds of microbial life but not all. The only thing that really prevents all microbial life is silver.
You can kind of think of watercooling loops that have biocides in the water as Super Microbe labs, if you get any growth id be careful as thats some resilient stuff :P You even went ahead and provided an environment devoid of competition from other lesser microbes :P

Even silver doesn't prevent all microbes, just all you're likely to run across. Nothing short of ridiculously high temperatures is going to get rid of it all. We've found microbes in sulfer filled thermal vents, vents on the bottom of the ocean that are hundreds of degrees, and in nearly frozen pockets of high salt ocean water underneath the antarctic. There's lots of very sturdy microbes out there, and I'm sure there are quite a few that wouldn't mind a bit of silver one bit, but thankfully the odds of our running into one of these "super" microbes is about the same as being hit by lightning a few dozen times... in a row... during a clear day, that is, effectively zero.
From a practical standpoint, if you've got a biocide and some silver in your loop, I'd be incredibly surprised if anything at all was living in your loop, not that it's impossible, just very very unlikely. Even with just biocide, or just silver in the loop, odds are still pretty good that nothing is going to start growing in your loop.
Curiosity was framed, Ignorance killed the cat.
Does just having a small section of that silver anti microbial tygon do the same thing? Or does that tubing only protect the tubing itself?
pentosin is some toxic , im suprised that bacteria could grow in there, what are you mixing the pentosin at?
