Cool [Team.AU] Fun with average E8600

First session of two for this weekend.
30L of LN2 with about 10L left now.

    E8600 Retail (Q820A326 - xxxxx850) @ 2.05V read
Asus Rampage Extreme - Custom air cooled NB
    Patriot 1866 DDR3 @ ~2.15V
    Astra Pot on LN2 @ -130C (-118C CBB)

RAM speed is bugged using this divider, actual RAM speed ~800+MHz
Subtimings totally untweaked and most of BIOS setting @ Auto
    Wicked board!

    Pull down

    After 3.5hrs...

Wow, congrats especially on the 32M & PiFast!
I guess you didn't care about validation, because bench clocks are higher?
    The Initial value finished

    PI calculation is done!

    Great work Tim.

Btw, are there any telltale signs that the divider is bugged? It seems like there are several other boards doing this.

well 2:3 divider at 615mhz is about 920-925mhz and he said should be in the 800mhz range so i take it that hes on a 3:4 and its showing as 3:5

    Nice one!

The Rampage Extreme works surprisingly well =) I only did some quick testing on air, but the same CPU that did 595 MHz FSB using SetFSB can boot with 625 MHz on the Rampage O_o

    Thanks all.
The RAM speed is bugged - it is not running 1000 @ 7-6-5-15

Vivi, the board is coated in vaseline then a thick layer of foam (12mm), then a double layer of paper then a very thin foam (3mm), then another double layer of paper before the pot.
The pot is covered in a 10mm thick foam pipe, then a double thick layer of paper wrapped around head to toe right over the foam cup. This is all then wrapped in a 6mm foam sheet which is what you can see in the pics held on by rubber bands.
In singapore condensation is horrible, and while this all sounds like a lot of work it takes me now about 15mins to prep each time.

Second session was pretty short, ran into some troubles so dissmantled half way through '05.
AM3 score quite good, 3D'05 got a good score but crashed before i could save the file.

    Here's a pictorial setup:

One last 30 minute session at 3D'05.
Very easy clocks, just wanted the damned result.
    #2 hwbot.

RAM speed is actually 915MHz, not the 800+ that i said before

@ t_m , beaut insulation, i also do the tissue layer over around the Processor and over the surrounding area of resistors because its thin it doesnt heat them up. very nicely done awesome 05 and am3 bro!

this also after about 2.5hours ln2

next time i try your style! tissue around pot before insulation should stop the foam from freezing up so quickly
