No joy running the v2 IBT in XP Pro 32 SP2/3. This is what I get whenever the app is launched:

    Any suggestions?

[my current system as the signature]

i have tested both on Vista (x64) and Win7 (x64), it have the same result.

passed IBT 40 loops but freeze when test with Prime95 / Othos. at 7th hrs

i didn't blame IBT but i have no idea

... Yep, IBT can find the unstable system quicker than Prime95 / Othos.

    i like IBT

AgentGOD, could you write something down on the first post of how many times/passes you should run IntelBurnTest to say that you system is stable?

under the Readme-IntelBurnTest folder is says "3. Select the run # (should use at least 5 at minimum, no more than 20)" but on post #9 it says "I would use something like 20 tests over 5."

this will help a lot, especially when I forward this link to someone so they can read about this test and know how many times we should run it.

    this is a minor bug

given 11111 times to run it does 13, 19 or so and stops reporting a "success", my cpu is obviously not stable after so few runs and more importantly the linpack.exe crashes but at this point the intelburn executable is deceiving us about the reason of the sudden end.

Hi, could you please send me a debug log? (right-click "output results to results.log" checkbox, and enable debug logging, and repeat the bug)

The new binaries seem to have fixed the problem, reports the error now, and more quickly and reliably now.

lucky me has overwritten the v2.2 when v.2.3 appeared, now this experiment cannot be proven again, that was the case with 1.92 - 2.2

the conditions weren't that special, this happened many times before.

Quick question, what does Xtreme Stress Mode do, is it only for I7's? I ask because it instantly locks my computer (Core2Duo 533x8/Gigabyte UD3P) at stock or OCed settings that are stable.

I Have the exact smae issue on my Core i7 , extreme mode locks the system up within the first 30 seconds , this happens at stock as well, did any one get a chance to test extreme mode ever? Is this stable?

Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 Test

I have tested IntelBurnTest v2.3 on WIndows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 and have found it to be nonfunctional.

I would get an error: "The dynamic link library [DLL file] could not be found in the specified path...".

IntelBurnTest v2.3 seems to be missing some DLL files to function properly.

    The files include:
    msvcr90.dll
    msvcm90.dll
    mscoree.dll
    [Possibly others]

For the next release of IntelBurnTest, please include the necessary binaries to run IntelBurnTest.

EDIT: After rereading the first post to this thread it seems that IntelBurnTest has the limitation that iti requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Most unfortunate.

Hi there, I was testing my Q6600 + TRUE + SlipStream 1.900RPM on a Gigabyte EP35-DS3L board. PSU is an Topower 520w, HD4850 [nothing to do with this...], and 2x2GB SuperTalent 800mhz + 2x2GB Mushkin 800mhz.

So, I had 3.6GHz @ 1.55v. It had 20h in Blend on Prime95. I've put the test with Thread's manually setted in 4, and got an error.
I started lowering frecuency, to 3.1GHz @ 1.55v, and it continued to be unstable.

    Then changed to 333x9 [3GHz] @ 1.4v.
    6 times, 4 threads, standard -> Error.
Standard, 6 times, Auto threads -> OK.
High, 7 times, threads Auto -> OK.
    Standard 7, 4 threads -> error.
Standard, 10 times, threads Auto -> OK.

So, is it really unstable or it's just setting 4 threads the problem?

Ok, yes, setting 4 threads is the real problem.
Using last setting (333x9 @ 1.4v): 20 times, very high, threads in auto: run ok.

Hello, nice app, thank U for that.
I've got question. I cant get pass 8 threads, first run is always ok, second always failure. I read it doesnt mean my settings are unstable right? 16 thread works fine 5 run at Very High.

    Second thing,
Cant get Maximum Stress Level. When setting it and start, app is closing becouse there is no ram to run Im running it on 7

Why yes. If you guys are trying out Xtreme Stress Mode, you need to let IntelBurnTest run by itself and not touch your computer until it's finished running It basically squeezes the most resources out of your PC it can and reserve it all for IntelBurnTest to use, hence "Xtreme Stress Mode" :P

If you've read the first post, Core i7/Skulltrail users need to manually set 16-threads.

Well thanks for the explanation I'm sorry to report at least on a 32Bit OS I cannot use XSM, my nLited XP uses about 300-400MB of Ram on start up with only drivers loaded I will try again with less resources and on Windows7 for the heck of it.

I cannot pass IntelBurnTest 2.3 on my new Core i7:

    Motherboard: Asus P6T7 WS Supercomputer
    CPU: Intel Core i7 965
    Memory: Corsair Dominator 6GB 1866MHz
    OS: Windows 7 64bit

Everything is set to 'Auto' in the BIOS. I've tried all sorts of test (Maximum memory, standard memory, etc)... but it always fails after two test. Can anyone point me in the right direction on passing IntelBurnTest. I'm not looking to overclock (just yet).

    Thanks in advance!

Set vDIMM to 1.65. Maybe MB is setting it too low. You can also try raising CPU VTT (QPI voltage, or something on Asus, I don't know).
I hope you solve your problem quickly, it's a shame not to OC that rig.
