That was sweetness. I jumped off the couch screaming and scared the bujeezus out of the cat.

Alain Bernard never should have talked smack publicly like that, especially before personally choking out a half body-length lead to an aging Lezak. 100m free world record holder got out-touched by a 32 year old on the precipice of retirement. hahaha! In American football they call that kind of public smack talk "bulletin board material" as it always gives extra incentive to the other team.

I had time for a little while last night to watch some coverage. The China Men's Gymnastic team was on most of the time I was watching..... those guys are on a totally different level than everyone else...... What really amazes me is all the different moves that appear from the last Olympics, athletes from all over the world just get better and better, stronger and stronger. These guys last night were doing airborne double flips on the parallel bars and landing with all their weight on the inside of their upper arms.....ouch! Anyway was fun to watch.....

    What a healthy attitude!

I went to Italy and France when I was 16 on an one month exchange. When in France, we billeted with families in a small town. I stayed with one of the warmest and kindest families I have ever had the pleasure of being in the company of. But, of course, the French are a joke, so what do I know?

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

ok, sooooo i was just watching the boxing between the chinese dude and ukraine dude. and i can officially say the olympics are one sided towards china, the ukrainian guy had atleast 15 points, when he was only given 8, and the chinese guy got several points when he had his hands down, and was getting punched in the face.

i can clearly, and consiously say that i care nothing about this years olympics now.

Did you see the featherweight bout between the #1 seed Russian and #4 seed Ukrainian? What an awesome fight. The ref should have called the Russian on all the unsportsmanlike stuff, though. Kept on elbowing and head-butting the Ukrainian guy. Didn't even shake his hand after the match! Too bad they had them fighting in the first round, because that would have made for a good gold medal match.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

The most ridiculous part of the whole bout was the Russian smacking the victorious Ukrainian on the back of the head after the last bell. That + no shake = shameful.

I've been watching quite a bit. I just love the competition and the enthusiasm of the Olympics. I'm also learning a lot more about China that I didn't know and am interested to find more information. The 4x100m freestyle race was amazing, I cheered and looked JUST like how Phelps did!!

I wanted to watch the boxing, thank god for Tivo lol. I'm more in to the crew races, and it seems like everyone is saving up for the finals. which is kinda boring. Swimming has been really entertaining, and gymnastics. Volleyball and basketball are so so, and thats about the majority I have seen.
