Fuzion GFX v2, ramsinks and 3/4OD compression fittings

    Can this fit?

I have the low profile enzotech ramsinks but I've never used compression fittings and I don't know how much width that cap introduces and if that'll interfere with the ramsink

    has anyone tried this?

oops forgot this.. on an 8800GT if that makes a difference

they won't fit in all likelihood. I haven't tried it personally, but 3/4" OD compression fittings are HUGE.

You might get away with 5/8" OD compression fittings.

Check out my blog at http://www.linustechtips.com if you want to see what a system looks like with 3/8" ID 5/8" OD tubing and Bitspower 5/8" OD compression fittings.

Hmm still hard to get any kind of frame of reference for my particular setup.. can anyone give me the diameter of the cap on the 3/4OD compression fittings? Then I can do some measurements.

oooh or... the distance from the center of the fitting to the outer edge of the screw cap would be best

I 100% agree. I like the look of 1/2-5/8 tubing and 3/4" tubing is just too big imho.
Given the size of 3/4, I can't imagine how big the barbs are

Just picked up (in person) a FuZioN GFX2 (among other goodies ) last weekend from FrozenCPU. IIRC, someone here said the O.D. on the cap for the 1/2" x 3/4" BP's is 1", if this is true, the answer is no. Center to center looks to be ~.979" on the GFX2.

DTek's site states 25mm centre to centre on the GFX2. I can tell you that my 3/8" x 5/8" Bitspowers are ~22mm across. Logic says 1/2" x 5/8" should be the same

One of the many little things I learned as a machinist was never assume that what the print (or in this case drawing) says is accurate.

Each threaded hole is 11.62 + 13.29 = 24.91 (.9807"), so as you can see, mine will not accept 3/4" O.D. BP's if they are 1" (YMMV, but I doubt it). Both 5/8" O.D. BP's should fit without problems but that's not what the OP was asking.

arent you supposed to check it from center to center and not the shortest distance between the two (inner wall/edge)

errrr, halve the second figure and add it to the first for each side of the centre line of the block, thus:

13.29 (inner edge to inner edge) + 5.81 (0.5 * 11.62) (from inner edge of left hole to centre of left hole) + 5.81 (0.5 * 11.62) (from inner edge of right hole to centre of right hole) = 24.91mm

Just mic'd a 1/2"x3/4" BP compression fitting - got just a hair over 26mm. Looks like a no-go in this case.

I bet you can buy some brass extenders at your local depot to make the compression fit. But that does add another place for it to leak.
