    Thermal sensor cable- waterproof ?

I just ordered a pack of cables from Asus. They were $3.00 for a pack of three of them plus $5.00 for shipping . . . not bad. I'm hoping to use these to monitor water and air temperatures in my system.

Does anyone know if they are safe to put in water?

Asus didn't show a picture of them, but I imagine they are just like every other sensor cable. It looks like the tips are coated in plastic. I will not be submerging anything but the tip. Maybe I should coat them it silicon?

I wouldn't think there'd be a problem. But there are thermal sensors installed in G1/4 barbs you can put in a tee fitting if you want the most accurate water temp measurement.

The thermal sensor that came with my computer died after a few days in the coolant.
Performance or frozen sells thermal sensors that are waterproof... I don't mean the 1/4" ones
