Nice results. Right on par with 2 x 4870's CF'ed.

There is something wrong with 3dMark03 though. I remember testing about 2 weeks ago with 8.6 hotfix i think @ 4ghz and getting around ~95000 with the 4870's at stock speeds. Now i'm getting like you are, 85k @ 790/1100 @ 4500Mhz. Don't know what caused this massive drop, tried all drivers again, same score

Here's a screen (not my run) to prove my point. I was getting simillar results and something made it drop by 10k. Bet you would get the same if we figure out what's causing it.

Are the clockspeeds being mis-read by GPU-Z? Actual clocks are lower than default?

The scores look pretty good! Can you cinfirm those runs were at default GPU speed Denny?

4870 i can only make it run about 1.3v using bios mod. haven't test the new method of bios mod; which i did on x2 this time; on 4870.

what new method would that be? If that works that would be very beneficial for the rest of us. Do you know by any chance if the bios has built in over-volt protection or if CCC is preventing us from going above 1.23 v and 1.3 v for the 4850 and 4870?

    I'd wagger a 750+ in a overclocked quad system and 600+ in a dual core system ( perhaps only stock though ) I've ran 2 8800GTS with a Q6600 @ 3.6 on a 600 for a couple months.

    [H] ran 2 x 4870x2's with a 800W PSU so I bet a good 750 is enough

The HD4870 uses 1.27 stock. So that bump to 1.3 is not a mayor boost.

@Guess2098 thanks for sharing your scores !!
