I like them. You seem to have a good eye.

This isnt anything you can fix (without alot of cash), but your shots could defenitely use a large aperature lens for the shallow DOF.

    Thanks Maxxx!

This was with just my 28-135mm, My dad has a 24-70mm F/2.8L that I'll be trying out, the only problem is that the lens does not have Image Stabilizing on it, and I do most of my pictures free hand (all of the ones above were free hand BTW)... but I guess if I use a fast shutter speed, I should be ok....

I'll try it out and post the pictures.

You will be fine. The IS/VR doesn't help much under 100mm

Try to keep your shutter speed at least equal to your focal length. For example, at 125mm, stay at or above 1/125s and you shouldn't have much camera shake if you have a steady hand.

Keep in mind, photographers didn't have IS/VR for the last 100 years and they made out ok

As the two fellows mentioned above, VR isnt too helpful in that focal range. There is a reason the new Nikon 24-70 does not have VR on it.. It doesnt need it. The new 16-85 does have VR because it is a stupidly slow lens and because VR sells more lenses. At F2.8 in the 24-70 range, having VR would just be silly. It would only help in doing in the dark shots of non-moving subjects. And for that you normally just use a tripod or a D3+F1.2 35mm lens.
