HOWTO: 1st Gen iPhone to 2.0 Jailbreack

Ok this is a quick tutorial on how to do it, I've "just" did it to my own EDGE iPhone and its easy and it works

what you need to do is first of all download this:
    http://rapidshare.de/files/40034466/...tore.ipsw.html

Its the firmware you'll need (for 1st Gen iPhones ONLY)

Then, goto iTunes and under preferences click the "forget synchronization history".

This will make sure when you sync your iPhone that iTunes makes a new backup (takes a bit longer but just to be sure ya know).

Then you needd to Power down your iPhone, and once powed down press the Home & Power key for 10 seconds, and after those 10 press the home key for 10 seconds more.

THis will bring up the image of a powercord and iTunes, directing you to plug your phone into iTunes.

Do so and once iTunes say it's found a iPhone in recovery mode SHIFT-CLICK "RECOVER" and select the firmware you just downloaded.

now just let it run its mojo (don't touch a thing)

Once everything is flashed iTunes will ask you if you want to sync the phone with the "old backup" it has of a other iPhone. Click yes and let it run for a while more (takes a long time tbh, like 10-15 minutes)

once thats done, PRESTO, congrats on your 1st Gen iPhone with 2.0 Software, unlocked & Jailbroken.

Well technically its not a crack or anything.

Its the official iPhone 2.0 firmware with tweaks, tweaks anyone can basically do once they instal openSSH on their iPhone so...

no, this is the iPhone frameware.

I think it'll work if you have the iPod Touch frameware thats costumized, but this frameware WILL NOT WORK
