    Question TEC question

Hey everyone, this one's for you crazy oc'ers out there.
im thinking of going ghetto-tec, sticking a 160w peltier underneath my zalman 9700nt, power cables would be hooked up to the cooler so hopefully ill have some sort of a sync between how much heat my plate is moving and how much cooling my zalman gives it.
    think it'll work?
also, i might have a condensing problem so i need to make sure somehow my plate doesn't go subzero (im hoping to go 20C at max cooling), any idea's? not sure if i want to trust my C2D's internal sensor...
BTW, current rig is an e6600 B2 running 3.4GHz at around 65C full load and ambient of around 32C (i live in the desert with no ac, poor me...)

That cooler does not have enough cooling power to move the heat from a TEC very effectively, and you will be dumping the TEC heat into your case so will need big fans to move it out.

Not sure what you mean about the power hooked up to the cooler - you need to add a current booster if you are using the fan control circuit.

If you are only looking to drop temps 5C or so this might work but it will take some thought. In general putting an air-cooled TEC in a case is not a good idea because of the added heat load - the TEC puts out more heat than everything else in the case combined.
