Seems like a pretty good deal if you want a 9800GX2. No rebates to mess with too is a plus.

HOLY ! I just ordered an 8800gt to fold on. I should have waited for this!

I am hoping that maybe these will be down to 240 or so in the next 3 months!

Two of those in SLI. How would that compare to two gtx 260 or 280s? 4870x2? Might be the right price point of many now!

In most reviews one beats the 260 and 280 but the 4870x2 isn't out yet so

ya know if it wasnt for the fact that this card sucks a$$ when SLI doesnt work, it would be worth it but SLI doesnt work on too many things.

When I saw 1 left I couldn't help myself either. I bought the last one. I've liked my current one quite a bit and was putting together another machine and thought this would be a pretty good bargain.

This card rocks, One 9800GX2 will spank the 4870 or the 280gtx, and for a lower cost....

with little (10min) tweeking I got mine to do over 20K, I know it will go much higher, and that was with
a Dual Core, once I put my Q9450 in the board this weekend I bet I am hitting 23K+

lets see a 4870 or 280gtx do that.....

I never understood why these cards were so overlooked, I got my order in../

but the thing is that this card is best run alone, running dual 9800GX2's is just a crysis accelerator nothing more. The drivers are just now up to speed for dual 9800GX2's.... So now I will have 2 killer systems...

now tell the whole story dude,

your cpu is running at 4.5ghz
you overclock the card with more than "a little tweaking"

that card is 3dmark fun,, gaming wise your gunna see fewer "spectacular results"

its a good deal on a good card but its an sli card,, dual gpu = sli on nvidia cards and you end up running into the same issues as an sli setup.

again its a great deal,, but please explain why you got such high marks, run it in games that are known to have sli issues and i bet you have the same problems...

    last question

will the GX2 cards run ok on the P35/45 X38/48 intel boards ???

The lowest is now a PNY

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133217

    379.99 - 50 mir = 329.99. Still a lot more...

Come to think about it, wasn't the 9800gx2 well over 400 a month ago? If it drops to 200, U better believe i'll pick one up.

    last question

will the GX2 cards run ok on the P35/45 X38/48 intel boards ???

Seems like your looking for a conspiracy theory here.

I literally put about 10-15 min into clocking the cpu and GPU, so yea it's not bone stock but it's not tuned by any stretch of the imagination. I can't help it if my Blitz overclocks easy, the e8500, i just upped the FSB and voltage and was done, that was about 5 minutes to get that, believe it or not, and the GPU, i just looked at some other peoples settings, clocked them down bu about 75 each and it ran, so that was even easier. Sorry that it was easy to get those clocks? But the system has a lot of room for fine tuning and mem tuning so I will make it go faster, that is a given.... But that is Why i kept the Blitz Extreme, it's a very slick and overclockable board

If you look at my other score the X3210 blew the E8500 out of the water when it came to this test, and i now have a X3220 and a Q9450 to up that difference, so i figure that I will get at least 3k on that alone.

Plus Sunday i will have some real time to fine tune the system and get even more out of the card.

All this was done on a P35. So yes it runs on a P35.

From your questions it seems your beating around the bush, if you got some real questions, just ask them, Get to your point, innuendos about SLi is just plain confusing and implies nothing.

Plain and simple, this is the best card i have ever owned. It runs the benchmarks like a monster and my game-play is beautiful, i just love it, that is why I got in on that deal.
I think 300 for this card is a steal.

I am also not a fanboy, yes I had great luck with my 8800gts 320's, now my single 8800gts512 scored over 16k and my second 8800gts 512 just came in so I am very excited.

But i also had, but just sold a 3870X2 and I also have 2- 2900xt 1Gb DDR4's which I can't wait to crossfire them next.

But like i said, i always felt the 9800GX2 was overlooked and that it is a great 2x card. the game-play is fantastic.....

So with that said, I will post more results as I bring the score up this weekend from 20k to 23-25k I figure....
and you can't beat that with any one card (I consider any card that takes 1 pciE slot - 1 card)

I will also love to test the 280GTX but it was a fortune till recently, so I am very happy i waited, I will also prob crossfire some 4870's down the road, or go straight for the 4870x2 who knows.

    BUT 9800GX2 ROCKS........

I've never done sli, but from what people have stated about this card, its seems incredibly easy to do sli.

No, PALiT is just selling them at great prices. They are the ones that make most of the other brand cards, so they can sell them cheaper then anyone else. As long as Nvidia doesn't get mad about it.....
