    now that 280GTX's have reached the $450 mark. Unless on budget, the 4870 no longer seems to be a deal. I suspect it will drop to $229-$249 & pricing for 4850 will be $149-$179.

    Yes, the 4870 is no longer a good deal at half of the price of a GTX 280 with 80% of the performance

    my upgrade itch is needing scratched even more, that x1950xt I have is getting a tad long in the tooth. Too bad the school bill comes soon
