The thread uses a 3DFX Voodoo 5 5500 in an Abit AN7.

Here is the short version:

Supply 3.3v to these points and cut a notch in the AGP connector where shown:

Also of note in the thread the author mentions using a potentiometer to vary the VDDQ being supplied to the card. It seems that around 2.0v SLI (and AGP4x) is able to work but above or below it is not? He is not a native english speaker so I am slightly confused but thats what it seems he is saying.

With cards which only have a single GPU it wont matter though
