I need to know which disk defrag program to use. I have a 4 drive stripe(I dont know if that makes a difference) and windows defrag takes forever.

If you have Vista, none really. Just leave the OS do the magic by itself once a week. It takes forever because even if you start it manually it uses lowest process priority meaning EVERYTHING has higher priority than defragmentation process -> takes forever to complete. Just fire up task manager and set two defrag processes (don't remember the names but they're easy to spot) and set them to Normal or High. That will complete the defrag in few 10 minutes depending on the disk size and fragmentation level.
But i just don't bother anymore. NTFS works pretty well even with higher fragmentation and Vista defrag does a pretty well job over night anyway.

I've used Diskeeper on windows for a while now (2008 current) and it works very nice both for servers and desktop systems. Really like the continuous defrag options.

I also use diskeeper and like it.
on XP Diskeeper or O&O. I use to prefer O&0 but the latest releases seem to like moving already defragmented files and then back to original location, again and again. You can of course put the biggest files in an exclude list, but Diskeeper seem to do a better defrag management...well this said, I agree with above poster: on Vista, the onboard MS defrag utility does a very good job; might be slow but is very low on resources (low priority process);it will pause every time any app needs cpu and ram, and it can be set to run on auto everyday.

I use Diskeeper 2008 pro on XP as well as Vista, and I am very happy with it. Works brilliantly behind the scenes to keep the drives defragmented and I never have to bother with it. Unintrusive, yet highly effective. I recommend you try the free trial versions from the Diskeeper website.

Diskeeper. Tried all, always went back to it.
Altough i prefer the 2007 version. It doesnt have VSS defrag which is better on vista but allows you to change the size of the MFT.

I've got Auslogics Disk Defrag. Seems to do the trick for me, it takes minimal time and even shows you how much better performance you pc should get after the defrag
Upgrading a little soon I hope
I've been happily using Diskeeper for two years now. 2008 version is very good like all versions after 11 are. Really transparent and there's no really need to configure it manually. And you can make it super fast by setting "efficiently defragment large files" ON. But before that it's better to let automatic defragmentation run for awhile or use manual defragmentation.
Another vote for Diskeeper here.
I have been using auslogics disk defrag and its not bad. Its fast and free, but alot of people seem to swear by diskeeper I might have to give that a shot.
well i've had a copy of vista x86 running for about 6 - 9 months, so i thought i better defrag it, i installed Diskeepers latest version and it said i didn't need to defrag it. So it would seem vista does a dam fine job all on it's own!
But i used Paragon the other day and seemed very good.
