Yeah, P5K3 Dlx needs some mods but when those are done, it transforms to an undead benching monster. It has been like half a dozen times when we have thought it being completely dead... but it always has been resurrected, and every time with more astonishing performance.

    608MHz FSB on the f* P5K3 Deluxe ? Are you f* kidding me ?
How many volts did you push through the PLL and NB ?

Benchzowner, no high Vnb needed for high fsb - while a gem mainboard might give you extra 10-20 fsb, it is usually dependent on CPU actually - we've had an E8500 for example, which could do 5Ghz on air but had fsb wall <550fsb on any P35 mobo. Now the E8500 used in this run is a completely different "beast", just look at the batch number, for instance

All those as well as voltage details here

And this particular board could do 16M @ 2000mhz easy - look at this older pic

    You guys are damn lucky.
    I've got 2 P5K3 Deluxe's here with me, and 10 E8500's ( including a Q807 ) and 1 E8400.... none of those CPUs reached any FSB frequency higher than 560 on the P5K3D's ( while lots of them hit 600+ on the P5Q3D / P5E64 WS Evo ).

My best P5K3D can do DDR3-2000 32M & Prime95, Orthos etc un-modded ( just some fan to cool the NB & RAM ).
And yes, the P5K3 Deluxe is a lovely motherboard and a benching beast, isn't it ?

    Congrats for the WR.

Sam as I have said to you a number of times you are a star and simply the best thing since buttered toast. Your months and months of testing and trying to perfect your OS and benching techiuque is starting to pay hansome dividents. I suspect that you are not done yet and that there is still more to come from you. Great Super PI 32 benching.
