Because the OCZ Perkam recommended and the G.Skill SpeedFreak recommends are PC8000/PC8500 and thus standard faster than the PC6400 the Corsair is clocked at.

It deals with the speed that the ram is rated for. PC2 8000 runs DDR2 1000 and PC2 8500 runs DDR2 1066. PC2 6400 like you are looking at is rated to run DDR2 800. The PC2 part is actually stating the theoretical MB/s memory bandwidth of the module.

Faster ram is always better. There will be headroom when you do overclock your quad.

For Q6600, a good kit of DDR2 is enough to achieve 3.6GHz running 1:1 memory, x9 multiplier, but you most likely need to spend more on a high quality heatsink to achieve that speed.

Since you are not overclokcing, I would choose your other components first and see if you have extra funds left for faster ram.

So stick with the 66 dollar Corsair 4GB ram for now and then if I plan to overclock get the one you reccomended earlier in the future?
Also, I really like your motherboard whats a good motherboard that is kinda close to that one but alot cheaper lol , your MB is way outa my price range.

Get a fan controller instead if you plan on connecting all your 3pin fans to the motherboard. Different BIOs have different settings for fan speed. Asus's fan control settings is hit or miss. Performance, Optimal, Silent... not base on percentage nor voltage nor rpm...
Fan controller gives you more precise control and it's not that expensive.

i like fan controller. i got a 6 knob zalman
getting cheap but silent 120mm/140mm fans would be preferrable also for 'quietness'.
g card fan could be the loudest fan depending on the settings, but as you running stock you probly wont hear that one either.
quaddie may come in useful...one day.

i go with cheapo ram and use dividers if i need to. (im on 5:6 for ages now)

...but there is nothing 'extreme' here

no OC means just get the cheap stuff and/or it comes down to personal choice.

i was looking for a hot pink coloured case, but there arent many options preferrably an expensive one with crap i dont need in it.

I like mike's list, the things i would chose different would be PSU, memories and motherboard.

PSU: Silverstone strider 750w abot $110 on the egg
Motherboard: the asus P5Q Pro or the Biostar Tforce p45 HP, about $130 on the egg (two pci-e lanes, if you go latter for a second video card)
Memories: the mushkin ones, previously said on the thread.

Well and u can get a Rocketfish case for 60 at Bestbuy, and spare the 20 extra from the CM690.

How about E7200 and HD4850 or 4870? I know there's also some G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2 1000 for $80 and DDR2 1066 for $85 (if you think the $5 and lighter-blue RAMsinks are worth it). P45 board such as a Biostar TPower T45 are supposed to be real nice. Corsair HX520, and I'd say look at XClio for their "Windtunnel" or "Windtunnel Advanced".

Since you like Blue LED so much, here's my suggestion:

    @ Newegg:

    $210 - Intel Q6600
    $87 - OCZ 4GB DDR2 1000
    $130 - Asus P5Q Pro (-$20 promo code: EMCAHBAAB)
    $150 - Thermaltake 700W modular
    $85 - Seagate 500GB 32MB cache
    $29 - Samsung SH-S203N DVD burner
    ---------------------------------------------------------
    $698 shipped (before $80 rebate)

    +

    @ Tigerdirect:

    $210 - BFG 9800 GTX
    ---------------------------------------------------------
    $233 shipped (before $30 rebate)

    +

    @ Amazon:

$99 - Antec 900 (not my taste at all, it's your choice)
$42 - Asus Silent Square (personal recommendation only, for blue led love)
    ---------------------------------------------------------
    $141 shipped (no rebate)

    ===============================
Subtotal: $1072 shipped (before $110 rebate)
    TOTAL: $962 shipped after rebate
For mobo and video card, newegg is having a combo on asus p5q pro + asus hd4850.

For PSU, you can also go with Corsair 520W / 620W, whichever is cheaper for you. The reason I go with Thermaltake is because it comes with standard 8pin PCI-E connector cables, you have to call Corsair to get your cable. I might be wrong tho, they might be standard now. You don't have to worry about this even if you go with HD4850.

CPU cooler, other good options are Thermaltake V1, Zalaman CNPS9700LED, you probably won't like Xigametek's heatsink because of their white led with orange transparent fan. Anything around $25~50 that's not push-pin are recommended.

These coolers are terrible for their price, the xigmatek one coolers alot better and its cheaper.

The corsair 650w is cheaper, more quiet than the 700W thermaltake... and possibly better quality.

Again, the new 320gb or 640w HDD's are very quiet and perform well.

stock 800Mhz ram would get you 3.6ghz (400FSB), so no point in getting something better, unless the price diff is small.

the Biostar p45 board is an monster indeed, overclocks FSB like crazy. Good option if its not much more than p35 mobos.

So you only like it 'alot' because it says '750Watt' which is 'bigger' than 520Watt or 620Watt from Corsair?

Read some reviews, i posted two links to the Corsair PSU's, reviewed by our JonnyGURU himself.

Haha yeah Source, again im not familiar with any names, which brands are good, which brands are bad ( thats the whole point in starting this thread I needed help with everything ), I just dont want to under do it and then having to buy another PSU in a short time thats why im trying to go for the higher Watt.

Alex's list is basically everything I want..

If you had read the previous page, you read that more than 4 people in a row are voting for the Corsair.
Not that the Higher Watt-PSU's from Thermaltake are that bad. But would rather buy a Corsair over Thermaltake.

Yup, cheaper, quieter, reliable, great support and warranty, more efficient and impressive output quality. Its not by accident that everyone is getting them lately.

Yeah trust me i've read every page throughly I dont see how a lower wat PSU even though its made from better parts and stuff can be better than a higher watt though..

    Then go with the Thermaltake.
Yeah, if you don't want to go with what other say, grab a very high Wattage PSU...

FYI, the Corsair HX620 blows out 600Watt on the 12V line and 170Watt on the 3V/5V line
