Trying to setup raid for a slave drive on my DFI DK p35-t2rs, need help

Im having a hell of a time getting raid to work on this unit. I had a 750 gig hdd and i went out and bought 3 1 TB drives to use as a large media raid array. I did a fresh install of windows but it wouldnt work unless i had raid turned off in the Bios for some stupid reason. I also never installed the raid drivers when i installed as it was going to be on a slave and i also dont have a floppy drive.

Now i am in windows and need some help. Not all of the drives are showing, infact only 1 is and the other two do not. Double checked connections and they all seem good as well. Once i find a way to get teh drives to appear how do i raid them together? This is for windows xp, i have all the updates installed i can find also.

Im sure this was the worst explaination ever but this is my first attempt at raid, all help is appreciated.

Well i finally got all teh drives to show up in windows and the bios, played around with it for forever and then just changed the cables (same cables just to different drives) and that worked... fair enough. My only issue now is can i still make a raid array with the 3 1 TB disc drives or am I screwed for doing that? It will act as a huge slave drive and is only for media storage. I will have the OS running on the 750 gig as well as all applications. I have not installed teh reaid drivers as i dont have a floppy and honestly i dont know which to use. Ive never set up raid before. Honestly im kinda lost right now, my guru is away for the week. Thanks!

I have never set up a SATA Raid set up but I do use a Promise ATA raid and you must install the raid drivers during the windows install. You didn't mention which operating system your using if WinXP you need to hit F6 soon after the boot cd starts and the easiest way is just get a floppy drive even if it's just 4 the raid drivers.

Hope this helps some. Hopefully some others help ya out where I left off

yeah its XP thanks! I dont even have a floppy drive anymore lol. Might have to and buy one, oddly enough windows shows that there is a floppy drive attached... very strange in deed. And infact only 2 of the drives shows up in windows not 3. I think it has to do with teh original raid array attempt. Ill have to turn it on and then off again i think to ensure its broken.
