Exclamation Asus P5Q3 Deluxe - no boot with G.Skill DDR3-1600

Hi, I'm currently attempting to run G.Skill's F3-12800CL7D-2GBPI DDR3-1600 kit on an Asus P5Q3 Deluxe/WiFi mainboard. I've just flashed the mainboard to the newest available BIOS, 0902.

However, I had to do that with another set of memory from Kingston. The system won't boot with G.Skills pair. What could be wrong here?

    Thanks!
    Oh blah?

Probably a SPD related incompatibility m8.
A SPD edit/flash will more than likely get the job done.

Cool, was about to make a new thread based on this.

Curious about the G-Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ sticks working with the P5Q3-Delx mobo.

Any issues other than a minor SPD issue at all?

    Cheers for any help

Well, my RAM still won't boot. Could you supply me with a guide for flashing the SPD, as well as give access to the files needed?

    Hi,

Unfortunately i'm having the very same problem.
For some reason im really unable to get the system stable using the 2 GB Gskill memory kit (PC3 12800) together with the P5Q3 (bios 0904)
Whenever i set everything to "auto" in BIOS it wont even boot.
The only way to get it more or less stable is setting the DRAM frequency to *DDR3-1600* leaving all other options "auto".
System will boot with CPU frequency 2.80 and DRAM running
    at 9-9-9-24.
Whatever settings i use or try (changing voltages/timings/fsb etc) im not able to get the system running stable with DRAM set to 7-7-7-18.
Nothing but BSOD's or frozen screens.
Im pretty sure it's the M/B at fault here, but is there anyone who could give me some hints/tips in order to get it stable ?

    thanks,

    Don
