Damn warped mousepad! What do you use?

Well I bought a Ratpadz GS a while back because I was sick of the typical hard mousepad warping, I figured there would be no way this thing would warp with how thick it is... I was wrong. The damn thing warped and now teeter-totters.

Its warped enough to lift both sides up 2-3mm

So Im wondering if anyone out there is using a hard mousepad that hasnt warped, and have owned it for 6+ months. I dont want something super huge tho, the ratpadz gs is the perfect size pretty much.

Cloth mousepads are not an option

    Thanks in advance.

Func Industries 1030 Archetype. Over a year without any warp. You can get either the stock base or aluminum base. The actual pad sits inside this base and you can flip it over for your surface preference: smooth or textured. This is the best mousepad I have ever owned, and I've owned half a dozen pads from other companies.

Truth - except mine's the older one. After giving away my Ratpad to a friend, I bought a func 1030 - and I've been using it ever since. Now on the tail-end of the 5th year, will enter its 6th year as my mouse pad. Not a bad investment

I used to use a sheet of solid teflon I got surplus from school. With the teflon feet on my habu mouse it was a smooth interface to say the least . But, the surface got damaged easily and didn't last long.

Now I am using a marble tile. Glass smooth, tracks well, and fairly cheap.

I use a nearly worn out, cloth top, thick rubber mouse pad. I don't remember what the name of it is, I've had it 4 or 5 years. I like it coz I can slope it downhill going away from me- about 1" thick on one side to about 1/4" at the other end.

I could put some slippery new thing on top but it doesn't need it. Works great.

Just got Q-Pad XT-R. I do not own it 6+ monthes, however I did some research before spending 20+ Euro on a mouse pad.

Have used couple of fUnc surfaces before (one double sided hard one, and big 1030 - soft pad).

All I can say I love Q-Pad XT-R (using together with qpad glides for g5). Really good combo + not very big (perfect size if you ask me).

    The RatPadz XT.

I have three and none have ever let me down. I wash them almost once a month, that's it.

    Black Icemat.

Made of 100% Frosted Glass, and just as smooth as ICE. No such thing as warping, at any temperature.

Also check this out Steelseries SX $59.99.
SteelSeries SX is an incredibly smooth mousepad made of fiber polished aluminum with anodized oxide coating. The surface is quiet to use, thanks to a rubber base which absorbs noise and vibrations.

It is also, by far, the most exclusive gaming surface we have ever produced.

    No prob.

I don't see how cloth appeals to some. As a gamer, I like the ultra-non-friction (new word?) surface to play on.

BTW, get some teflon mouse tape to put on your mouse feet. This will make it feel like silk on ice, and gives it that ultra-non-friction feel. The first time I got some BFG stuff, but I couldn't find it anymore and had to look elsewhere. I found a guy on eBay who sells long strips for real cheap, and it's even better than the brand name stuff (lasts longer). I'm still on my first strip and purchased five. You just cut little rectangles and put them over your mouse feet. It gives the benefits mentioned above, plus your mouse feet never wear out! You just replace them as they start to wear out. You know one has started to wear out when it starts developing a small hole. No need to replace them all at one time, just the one that's starting to give.

Here, I found the lone guy on eBay selling this stuff: http://cgi.ebay.ca/TEFLON-MOUSE-TAPE...QQcmdZViewItem

OMfreekingG your flimsy little girl wrists are too weak to overcome the friction of a cloth mouse pad!!!! AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAaaaaaa

I am amused by all of you all's flimsyness. Loose the carpel tunnel amplifiers and get a thick, CLOTH COVERED, foam mouse pad. It will help you develope wrist muscle. hehe

OK I'm just teasin. Its all good.

No special appeal for me, I just bought this one b/c it felt good and it wasn't flat. Also my G5 mouse is plenty smooth/fast on the bottom.

I just went to Best Buy and got a Rocketfish mousepad. It's aluminum with a gimmick control and speed side (different texture on each side), works great sturdy and easy to clean. It's big and pretty comfortable.

It's a mousepad...it sits on my desk well.
