Man, I thought about adding an AGP slot some time ago to an old Dell motherboard (brand new at the time) but never could get the stuff I felt would be needed to do it proper.

    Hats off to ya.

that fx60 should sell for a lot (to any die hard amd fan) just because of its legacy, it's a shame how they dropped the FX line, the FX line at least offered better performance on top of just unlocked multipliers like the black editions

I really hope that this works out for you. Just goes to show what having time on your hands and the balls to do something will do. Good luck!

Awww, an FX60, I wish I could have afforded one at the time, let alone now... I plumped for an X2 4800 back then. That's a lovely looking collection though.

    small update:

well despite the fact that I sold all my s939 gear (incl. the FX60, which sold for $350 on ebay ) - I spent too much on clothes *plus* I 'managed to obtain' a $350 speeding fine.. so couldnt buy RAM as planned.. this coming week I plan on doing my tax return, we'll see what develops from that

Not to be a killjoy, but you have the worst updates I've ever seen. lol no hard feelings or anything, I'm anxious to see results too, but how hard can it be to spend 20 dollars on RAM. Are you trying to see how long it takes for people to lose interest?

    http://www.shopblt.com/cgi-bin/shop/...er_id=!ORDERID!

exactly this stuff, & exactly from this e-tailer, seeing as they ship international (Its been a while since I checked them, the prices have come down )

    2 kits as well..

price used to be ~$75.. so thats $150, plus shipping.. comes close to ~$200.. now that its dropped a little... I cant wait to get my tax return done

having said that, nm's post illustrates how ty this whole thing has played out re: time taken... if my tax return is delayed for some dumb unknown reason, I think I will cave & waste ~$40 on some 512mb stick from an e-tailer here in oz, just so I can finally friggin' find out the verdict of this mod.. well. at least find out the 'data' side of it - we all know power works, which is all I wanted/needed

    Some things take time.
I know a guy that built a P-51 Mustang(WW2 era fighter plane) in his oversized garage.
Took almost 10 years but he did it as money allowed and achieved his dream.
I've seen it fly at over 400MPH..
Some things are worth waiting for.
