I've seen some critturs this Spring that I didn't get to see last spring. I guess the hound was keeping them at bay...
Three days ago there was a Hatchling Corn Snake on the handrail of the porch. I was a little sketched out until I recognized the patterns...he/she was one of black/grey/white Corn Snakes and looked gorgeous...about 12" long or so and big around as my little finger. What a climber...my Kids and I watched the snake climb from the handrail into a nearby shrub and manuever throught the shrub...really interesting.
And the day before that me and the Girl child saw a Mother Hen Turkey and her chicks strolling along our gravel road...
And last night the kids found a flourescent orange Salamander down in the clearing I'm working on. He was only 2" long.
and the usual Deer and Hawk sightings...
I had no idea the ancient hound was such a crittur detterent...even deaf and lame he still was doing his job.
