good morning everyone ! and thanks for Coffee
(ok it s mostly evening here in my location .. no big deal )

sorry if i posted here, i saw that other forum threads
    are kinda messed up ..
so just noticed some activities here ..

but have problem to upload boinc completed (10 ) tasks

    Code:
20.04.2009 17:45:51	World Community Grid	Started upload of mj554_00004_7_0
20.04.2009 17:46:12 Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
20.04.2009 17:46:12	World Community Grid	Temporarily failed upload of mj554_00004_7_0: connect() failed
20.04.2009 17:46:12	World Community Grid	Backing off 1 min 0 sec on upload of mj554_00004_7_0
20.04.2009 17:46:13 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
    . . . . . .
2 machines are working (getting new threads etc) .. but .. one pc got stuck..? does not upload and does not get new tasks ?
connection is ok and all tasks 100% complete and
    retry ~ 1,5 hours already
( ok i understand that server maybe temp. down , but why not getting new tasks ? )

it is NOT on ''snooze'' or ''suspend'' and allow ''new tasks'' is enabled

should i restart it or ... does it loose the completed tasks ?

    Thanks,

Make sure the time is correct on the machines. Having the wrong time/date can screw a few things up in BOINC.

    Thanks for replies anyway ..

    - i stopped the boinc client, rebooted that machine,
and on next launch it started (automatically) downloading tasks and begin jobs like it
was running earlier ~ 3days 24/7 - so seems problem solved at this time
    --------
sorry, but honestly .. i did not ''catch'' the Date/Time thing ?
at the moment i run 3 separate machines, all XP-pro32 and windows base Boinc clients.
well if i am in different time zone than this UTC?
should i set my date/time clock to this UTC? ''other'' zone ?

so far date/time clock in bios was(is) set to my local and also windows
timezone is set GMT+02:00 .. and there was(long time since last CLR CMOS on that machine )
so nothing was changed during this last 3days i run boinc on it

Oh the irony. Only if I wasn't born in the 80's, I could have said we wouldn't miss them.

No, yur fine. If you happen to clear your CMOS, as CyberDruid mentioned, and it sets your date to some time in 2006, then your BOINC client will not update. Most of the time, if you're in the right month/year, then your BOINC client will be fine.
