Well I video taped my mouse house guest again last night. It seems there is a crack in the foundation where the joists (3 2x12 beams) go into the wall. I think it might be a female since she seems to nibble on the baits and then go back out the hole. Either that or she is laying in supplies. What I don't understand is why it isn't dead yet. The baits have a strong anticoagulant that is supposed to be effective even on warfarin resistant rodents.
She roams around like she owns the place. If she tries to sue me for the deed based on adverse possession (squatters rights), then I'm taking off the gloves. A small solenoid strapped to the trigger of a shotgun plus a radio remote control and she's going to be one dead momma mouse.
But first I'll try stuffing some steel screening in the hole. She can probably gnaw through it, but it won't be easy and she'll have a hard time explaining the damage to her dentist.
I'm also thinking of a better mouse trap. She's used to seeing the normal spring loaded kind so I was thinking of something simple - just a board with double edged razor blade stuck in it. She won't know what it is so she'll walk up to it, look over the razor blade and while turning her head from side to side think 'where's the chee. . . arghhhhh . . . gurgle . . . splat . . . splat.

Yesterday sucked! A mobo went out on one of my crunchers
I am going to take advantage of this incredible weather and FINALLY close the gables and run the soffit on the shop...when it gets cold it'll be a lot less fun.
