A Day at the Zoo (Picture Heavy)

I am far from being a good photographer. Shot with a D40x with a Nikkor 55-200mm lens with hood. Photobucket only limits you to a 1024x768 resolution . Here we go...Enjoy!

This monkey was making inappropriate gestures

    Some were sleeping....

    some had a rough night...

    and some just hanging out.

Big cats (little kids always like to smudge the protective glass).

This mongoose did not like me one bit.

    Water-monitor just hanging out.

    Yellow=Poison.

    Hey there little fella.

This one apparently escaped and is planning world domination.

    Reminds me of Madagascar.

This one looks a bit rabid.

    Chimps!

Getting ready to flip me the bird.

    Big Daddy...

    Posing

    King of the Jungle.....

    doesn't like his vegetables.

    His woman.

    Polar Bears (my favorite)

    Polar Bear is not amused...

this is not relevant to Polar Bear's interests.

    Sea Lion just hanging out....

    showing off

    O Really!? Owl

    Mr.Bald Eagle....

    standing proud

    Onto the butterflies

    They wouldn't stay still..

    Nice shots.

About Photobucket...you can choose your limitation. Change it from 1024x768 to 1MB. Since you'll never have a JPEG over 1MB (that you'll post on forums anyway), you essentially have no size limit.

Good set, I quite enjoyed it. And I thought the quality of the shots was pretty good.

I especially liked the one you titled as "this is not relevant to Polar Bear's interests" - I think you could impose those very words on it and post it in threads that are starting to go OT. Very cool picture.

ah I just checked my photo size and they are way under 1MB, ill do that from now on. Thanks for that tip. The Bronx Zoo is huge, in the 6 hours that me and my girlfriend where there we still did not cover it all. The tigers didn't come out and we missed the Elephants, Rhinos, Jaguars and some other few. Thanks for the positive comments.
