Depends what you want to use it for. I've been using a stripped down version for several months on all the different DFI boards I have here.

    The overall quality is good

    But the Bios..... is crap!

On HWLuxx we are 4-5 users and we all have the same problems. The maximum is 422Mhz FSB. Yesterday i have the thougt to send the board back, but i hope for a new bios!

PS: pictures will be added this afternoon

If i press F1 for the ABS function, nothing happens.... maybe i should read in the manual, how it works

I'm one of those guys with the same problem.
Installed my X3350 in it, and max I can reach is 380*8 (on the P5Q-PRO, I was able to run that same cpu at 475*8).
So for now, I can say that the bios is crap and I hope that a new bios will fix things soon.
    Otherwise the board goes back.

    SeLecT thx for the pic!

At least it comes with a floppy disk with ahci/raid drivers

It looks like P45 isn't so great with CF,at least with two 4850's, but i think its great for a 4870x2

I see benches with 8x 8x vs 16x 16x (P45 vs. X48) and the differences are not great. nearly the same scores. I only had a HD2900XT. Maybe i can get a second one to test CF

I tried it, all it does, is giving you a GUI and letting you choose your Cmos reloaded Banks.
If installed in Windows (waht icertanly wont do) it may even be possible to change settings on the fly. But just not my taste.

And the bios is the thing for witch overclockers like DFI. But we know DFI is always late on the market and since this board isn't launched yet we have to wait. I'm sure they'll fix it.

I also was thinking about buying the X48 DK, but seeing the FSB Overclocks not maxing out 500MHz i'd rather prefer running my CF on 8/8 and 550MHz FSB than 16/16 and 450 Plus it is also possible to Overclock the PCIe Frequency, so i think there won't be a problem with Crossfire.

Doesn`t make sense. If you usde crossfire you gotta be a gamer. Check out tweaktown and their P45 vs x48 crossfire article. The performance loss with the P45 is massive. Don`t get a P45 if you plan on using crossfire. A few hundred mhz on the CPU clock wont make up for that.

Wow, you are very fast and professional with the reviews. Did they sort out a bios yet that can compare P45 performance to Biostar or Asus P45? I'm sure DFI will be amazing once again.

For now it's just on the DK, JR and Blood Iron.

To be honest though, I can see it being useful on the UT/LT boards too.

@Clunk: is it just a software? maybe we could just install it in the UT/LT versions.
