I did but before first boot so no before/after results. Way too much white paste on and all around NB stock...

This mobo doesnt like my good set of crucials. I have 2sets, one did bench SPI 1m @687mhz 5-5-5-18 the other set doesnt bench as high.
It wont boot at all with the ''good'' set of ram in dual channel but boots in single channel.That set did 600mhz 4-4-4-4 on my other board
With the other set boots fine but every time oc fails i get C1 code, have to reset CMOS allthe time
Seems i cant go past 657fsb so could be the ram i guess .

I have an offer to buy the non-PLUS board for $135. Kinda cheap, but is this version still FSB-limited at 500 or so? I have a DFI X48 LT T2R already, no use getting the P45 DK non-PLUS if it can't go higher (the X48 did 540 on air, the previous owner told me).

Not even sure what the actual difference is but for that $5 extra id get Plus just in case.

gah. Having serious issues on this board. Cant hit over 449 fsb without extreme voltage. Running an E0 E8500 which I cant stabilize even at 4Ghz. >_< Wheres the magic bios setting to correct this problem

Is it possible to boot from a USB stick with this board? There seems to be some options to do it but I can't get them to work.

Edit: Figured it out. Switch USB Drive boot from Auto to HDD. Then switch Drive boot priority.

Having issues 500FSB +. Have tried all the settings other people have used. My crucial ballistix D9 have gone flaky so im using some promos. I have 3 sets of ram I have tried and at times I cant even get them to run stock frequency. Picky board?

D9GMh/promos/powerchip ram.

PS. whats a Safe FSB termination voltage to use?

Perhaps you've found the FSB hole that exits on intel boards. I can be different for every mobo + proc combo. This is a known 'problem' since the introduction of the CD2 architecture
You should see if you can do 478, 480 , 485, 490, etc. It's trial and error , good luck
