For those interested, there are no problems with the 3TB Western Digital WD30EZRX on this board. The motherboard recognizes it as 2.72TB without the expansion card of the previous model.
    Even without the latest bios.

    Just a quick performance test:

Pretty nice for an almost silent disk.

The bios chip on all DK boards is soldered on.
If you have borked the bios you can flash it with an Eprom flasher. If you havn't got a flasher you will have to send it back to DFI to be re-flashed.

    Hi, guys
Playing with DK P45 T2RS PLUS as my EP45T Extreme is dead, and wondering some things.
Is there any software which can control voltages and the FSB? ET6 was a great tool, when using GB...
Yeah I`m using setfsb to change the FSB, but it's not very good, and cant change the voltages.
Also wondering which BIOS is the best for high FSB? I saw 812 is the best for SPi 1M, but which is the best for high FSB? Using the latest one(D45PD105) and managed to load windows at 665FSB(675 for validation with setfsb), but if there is a better BIOS I'll be glad to know, 812 is not very good for me, cant boot at higher than 610FSB(but I can do almost the same results as D45PD105 in windows with setfsb).
Using E8400, SS cooling, NB on stock cooling and 2x1 Transcend Axe 1200MHz D9GMH.

Still a 440 FSB is pretty good. Means it runs at pretty much the same speed as my old E8400 with twice the cores.

Let's see if that Beta bios works.

EDIT: Never managed to install the Beta Bios, but I did figure out my problem. Voltage XD
Bumped the NB and Ram voltage by two points and it is running like it should. Didn't try full overclocking yet but 430 x 8 = 3.44Ghz is quite a decent clock for 24/7 use on air. Doesn't even break 70C

Is it still considered necroing if I'm the last one using it.

Right, so almost 4 years ago since the last post here. I'm still using this board but I got the dreaded 8.8. post code.
Could be a NB problem, could be a broken bios chip.

Since it was still running quite well and a replacement bios chip is quite cheap @ 8 GBP I decided to give it a try.

So first of all, here is the location of the bios chip. Don't bother flipping over or removing the motherboard if it is mounted on a sliding plate, all the connections are at the front.

It's late and I'm not sure my soldering iron is fine enough for this so I'm postponing it to later this week.
