    what would you choose?

    had a thread in the amd section, and decided to get intel perspective.. new to intel but considering it. my budget is around $500 it was 650, but you know how low gas prices are

    Add another $50-75 if u can to the intel system and get a good CPU cooler. OC that 2.5 to 3.5. You will not be disappointed.

    Random, possibly related question: Are OEM CPU's of a different quality (lower, higher) than retail CPU's (in general) as far as OC'ing goes?

    OEM CPU = CPU only, they don't come with a heatsink and fan.
