Is it just me, or is everyone refusing to use other benchmarks to bench these cards with?

Show us some 110k+ numbers in '01 yourself first, and then start talking about milking old cows and fun (and skill) of doing it.

    [personal opinion on]
With Vantage, the real milking cow are actually we, benchers, and the one who milks us is Futuremark.

These cards should be pretty much optimized for Vantage and there's no better way for nVidia doing its PR at launch than to give these cards to selected legendary overclockers, which is the case here.
    [/personal opinion off]

Other than that, nice scores, I wish I had the opportunity to be there as well.

Nice work Marcus and Robert, only the best from you guys as always

Did you figure out the vGPU-mod for the GTXs? If so what voltage were supplied? How cold did you run them (any sign of coldbug)? What clocks did you get out of them?

Oh, and that cascade looks awesome

    Performance preset update.

We took the wrong screen dump with us back to the hotel so we have to post screens from the orb instead. Print screen will be up tomorrow.

    Thanks Jon

It has the same vreg as the GX2, and here is a picture: (opposite side of the vreg IC)

We used a 100 ohm, but if I would redo it I would use a 50 ohm.

We didn't really have time to check what voltages that were required, but we ran at around 1.55 (stock ~1.2v)
One card had 1.70 for a brief moment (my bad)
Some cold throttling at around -70C, we think. Again, not much time to test extensively.
    Clocks were around 950/1950/1250, +/- 50.

    3d'06 please

Plus, why do legends keep using 3 cards when bottleneck would be a lot less and pots a lot bigger with just two cards

Older 3DMarks please, we want to see real power of this rig, not only one "bench" with crazy optimized nv drivers.

This is not the case with vantage X / H scores. They scale pretty well and are mostly GPU bounded. P score is little more CPU related, but it still scale nicely with more GPUs / MHz. So 3 cards give you best results and later when 55nm GX2 cards come out, vantage will be fun to test.

3DM06 is almost pure CPU test with current high end cards in SLI or Quad whatever.

These comments show how little we know about vantage It's not that awful, even if it looks like that

I agree with you we do know very little about Vantage (I certainly know little about it) but we are familiar with the others 2001 03 05 and 06 toss in a AM3 for good measure. I am really puzzled why both Vince and now these reports are not showing the known benchmarks. Is there a embargo on posting those results due to bad performance of the cards? That is what I am thinking at present, that the cards are optimized for Vantage and nothing else.
