nope. looks like a good fit for my maze 4's I dry fitted them but haven't went to water yet since without an OC tool there isn't a need. the shield and most of the card is identical to the 3850. it just has a big honkin' die on it.

Do you have any cards to bench it up against Jimmy?

    How about your HD3870X2?

Numbers alone dont give ous much.

Side by side bench against HD3870x2, with low, avg, max fps would mean alot..

    Thanks

There are about 7 other people getting their 4850s by the end of this week.

Whether they choose to release their marks is up to them, but we should have more info soon. Plus, stop pestering the man

The real novelty of Jimmyz's preview isn't meant to say that it is significantly more powerful than the 8800gt, it is to give us a sneak peek before launch.

We don't need 8800GT sneak peek, please take that elsewhere

EDIT: THIS THREAD NOW HAS 118,000 VIEWS !!!!!!

Well everyone has been demanding this and that test and so far he has done them when he can [ie not at work and in his free time]. I don't think it takes a lot of thought to realise that Jimmyz can't do all the test in the world at the settings people have asked.

as I wrote in my previous post this way of benchmarking Crysis is absolutely pointless, 'cos this FlyBy benchmark is heavily texture streaming bound and it doesn't reflects in-game performance.

In game situation is completely different as you can see in TR's test:

In reality 3870 is almost fast as 8800GTX, and trust me 4850 will be way much faster!!

That's why I would like if jimmyz could run Crysis in a way I've described?!

If you disagree with my logic, you can justify being in this thread. No need to get agitated

Go ahead We're cheering Jimmy on so that he can get beyond some of his main technical issues. You need to wait for him to be able to clock and bench fully before asking comparisons.

Prolific posting hardly delivers creedance, if it did every troll on the net would be revered.. and if we are going to talk politeness then I would have to refer you back perkam's ridiculously overbearing post

Perhaps consider that his post count is attributed partially to the fact he's been a member of these forums for 3 years longer than you have.

My statement was about the number of posts not being tied to any sort of validation.. a monkey can hit just as many keys on a piano as Mozart

I think everyone's just a little jealous they don't have their name in blue like perkam

What exactly does that represent anyways? Is it just something Fugger does if you've been around a while and know your ?

Sorry for OT, it's been a long day for me...
