Thanks, also Newegg states that this MB supports 8Gb of RAM, however on Foxconn's website it says 16Gb. Which is correct?
Will the 940 support 8Gb of ddr1066? Or will it have to run @ ddr800?
    Thanks again!

Well it would be nice if you people at the foxx would PLEASE fix this bios issue with the multi on NB not working. I REALLY digg this board "Destroyer" and know that my 8750BE would be able to shine if I could drop the NB HTT down a few.

Dont feel bad the Aegis panel didn't work for me ether. This mobo is sooooo easy to clock with except for the NB multi.

WAKE UP FOXCONN!! I love this board, and my overclocks seem very stable however the lack of ANY semblance of support has convinced me to never buy foxconn again. No NB multi+ no Aegis panel+ no fixes=TERRIBLE

I'm using the Destroyer now for about two weeks and I choosed the board because of its great layout and excellent quality. I also looked over the problem of the malfunction of the CPU-NB Multi, therefore I was convinced that Foxconn would fix this problem in a couple of time.

While working, especially overclocking with the Destroyer and a Phenom II 940 I encountered some issues that also should be fixed:

    1. Raising the Reference Clock in the bios above 250Mhz results in unprecise Clocks in fact, due to CPU-Z. 250Mhz does effect correct 2250Mhz HT and NB Clock. 251Mhz in contrast results in weird Clocks like 249.1Mhz Ref., 2241,9 HT and NB, additonally, the CPU Clock also doesn't match the bios clock. 252Mhz is identically (!) with the 251Mhz-Option, while 253Mhz in Bios results in a CPU-Z-Clock of 252.1Mhz.

    2. Setting the nforce780a SATA-Controller to AHCI Mode make it impossible to check the SMART-attributes, they are simply invisible, just like the temperatures of the Hard Drives. Additionally, while in AHCI mode, all Hard Disks are "invisible" in the bios. Is this a chipset-related issue or rather a problem of the bios?

Besides these problems I like the board a lot and I hope the next bios will fix the most annoying bugs.

I have never spent so much on a mother board before this one, and would love for every thing to actually work like it is supposed to.

This soooo sucks balls. i love this mobo but man how frickin hard could it be after all this time has gone by to fix the NB multi unless Fox is going to come out with a new board to replace this one. It might come with the 980a chipset

Even if they do come out with a "replacement" that is another $200+ I would seriously have to consider purchasing. What is sad is that this board never really took off due to the phenom 1's sucking. Well the PII's came out and then this board/chipset showed it's true potential.

But apparently the damage was already done, sells were too low, and the economy was just too bad to support the board after the release.

It's a great board imo, but the nb issue really limits certain peoples oc abilities, and that is just ridiculous for an enthusiast mobo.

You can have the dogtags and plexi mobo tray, I want my nb setting!

OK new bios prob. It could be me on this one. I did this all during a long lunch got busy and left it alone. I installed a PII X4 955BE. It only showed up at 800MHz. I have the P14 bios which says "AM3" support. I tried clocking everything manually. Am I doing something wrong??? I will mess with it when I get out of work. Thx.

OK. I spoke to someone at Foxconn in Cali. He was very nice and helpful. He told me that he would call HQ regarding the bios update and email my company back on this. I am hoping this gets resolved soon cause my company has sold these boards mainly for the AMD/Nvidia setups. I like the product alot and would like to stick with it for awhile like I have with OCZ ram and Evga videocards. I will keep you guys updated.
