I did have a question - I haven't found a solution to stopping the clock speed throttling. When I run CPU-Z, it shows my multi at 6 and my Core Speed as 2550, but my multi is set at 10 and my Core Speed is 4250(I can see it flipping back and forth on CPU-Z). I thought it might be ACPI and set it to disabled in Bios, but it wouldn't boot, so I had to re-enable it. I see everyone who posts cpu-z screens has their top cpu speed showing so I must be missing something. Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Disable speed step/c1e in bios

Sorry I should have been more clear.
Set Dram Clock Skew to advanced 300ps what ever channels your running ram in.

    1) it is stable with this cpu? If so, which bios? I dont want to see a bsod with lenses.
    2) The extra sata ports can be used for a dvd and the boot drive? I need all 6 intel ports for my storage.
This board works very well with the Q9550 and you can OC the 9550 easily to around 3.7GHz with everything pretty much stock 3.8 if your chip is decent.(of course 4GHz is doable 24/7 also but voltages get a tad high)
The only thing I noticed is some ram modules cant handle all the dividers available on this board.
    Bios 1307 seems very stable
I'm not sure about the Sata ports

Well, bit of a stupid question but is that really a C0 what you have there?
Im running the same clock with the same ram speed and timings and i got lot slower L2 cache results.
Dont know that got to do with the motherboard or the cpu differnce.

I'm still having blend issues. Lowered mem to 930, removed 2 sticks, up voltages, lowered voltages, ran many memtest runs with no errors, changed dram skew as advised, loosened all timings..... primary timings relaxed to 6-6-6-15, lowered all subtimings by 1 number, still failing blend. not instantly now like before but within 10 minutes. And the memory benchies ar horrible compared to my 780i. My read scores were almost double with the 780i.... Makes me want to order another Striker II Formula. Oh well i'll keep trying whats advised and keep playing and reading. I have soo many settings on auto that i'm sure i'm missing something. Is there an OC handbook per say like i had with the nforce chipsets? where each individual bios setting is explained in detail with positive and negative effects towards your OC and system stabilty? If so please link me!!!!

@ Grnfinger - nice work, that is quite respectable for 24/7 setting

@ Nugzo - What vNB are you using? Do you have static read control or read training enabled? 1.28v vNB should be fine for DDR2-1100, and disable the two options I mentioned if you have them enabled.

I would suggest this for 1100MHz

    DRAM Clock Skew CH1 A1: advanced 300ps
    DRAM Clock Skew CH1 A2: advanced 300ps
    DRAM Clock Skew CH1 B1: advanced 300ps
    DRAM Clock Skew CH1 B2: advanced 300ps

    DRAM Timing Control: Manual
    CAS# Latency : 5
    RAS# to CAS# Delay : 5
    RAS# Precharge : 5
    RAS# ActivateTime : 15-18
    RAS# to RAS# Delay : 5
Row Refresh Cycle Time : 55-65
    Write Recovery Time : 6
Read to Precharge Time : 5

    Read to Write Delay (S/D) : 10
    Write to Read Delay (S) : 4
    Write to Read Delay (D) : 5
    Read to Read Delay (S) : 6
    Read to Read Delay (D) : 6
    Write to Write Delay (S) : 5
    Write to Write Delay (D) : 6

Write to PRE Delay : 16
Read to PRE Delay : 6
PRE to PRE Delay : 1
ALL PRE to ACT Delay : 6
ALL PRE to REF Delay : 6

    DRAM Static Read Control: Disabled
    Dram Read Training : Disabled
    MEM OC Charger : Enabled
    Ai Clock Twister : Moderate
    Transaction Booster : Manual

    Common Performance Level [8]

And add a few drops of dram juice

Those work for my CL5D's upto 1120 MHz with 2.1 volts
Also your NB volts look really low imo for what your trying to accomplish

@grnfinger,this new setup i have is real picky about what volt i can give it. for instance it seem i dont have any headroom where volts(vfsb&vnb) are concerned the only stable setting seems to be vfsb 1.14- 1.16, vnb1.16-1.20 any deviation results in prime failing within the first 2 minutes or bsod or windows lockup. i just trid 9x439 w/ mem 1101 and no boot, ive also been trying 6x485-500 w/vfsb 1.14-1.16 and vnb 1.16- 1.30 no luck. its really depressing to be so limited (9x449 w/ mem at 1080 5/6). my previous g.skill 8500 out performed this new 8800 set.

Can you run 1.20 vFSB & 1.25v vNB together? Your voltage limitation is a strange issue. Do you have any other ram you can use to try things out?

Yeah a 2 x 1GB micron D9 based ram kit would be better for overclocking but not so good for longevity. My CellShock PC8000 CL4 GKX kits are nice though. The best 2 x 2GB ram kit available today is the G.Skill 9600 PI kit, they do 650+ MHz.
