Now a E6600 is working on my board
But I can not got to 475 Mhz FSB @ 1,2V NB stable.....
I cant run PRIME 95 on this board! Its hanging just after i press the "small FTT..." and when i press OK button its hang... Can anyone tell me what version are u using or how to fix it?
Ofcourse 2x orthos are stable fot 1h...
my comp still locks up even after the new RAM i bought for it ....
i think its the board and something being wrong with it ....
could it be from running 2x2GB of ram in vista 32bit which doesnt fully support 4gb?
wow and newegg wont refund your money on this board ... what the ... so im stuck with a terrible board playing the RMA game i guess until i can get a good one ...
Finally worked out my problems with this board. I still can't pass test #3 in memtest86 with any RAM at any settings but it doesn't seem to matter. Even though it fails memtest, it passes 24 hours of the Vista Extended Memory test and also passes 24 hours of looping 3DMark along with Prime95 Torture.
Stable as a rock even though it can't pass memtest. First board I've ever seen like this. Odd.
I really had to knock down my RAM settings to get 8GB stable. Had to drop OCZ Platinum 1066 down to 800mhz at 6-7-7-20. But I guess that's expected with 4x2GB sticks. I don't have a big OC on it, just 3.2Ghz on my Q9450.
But it's working good and I don't have to RMA it. Finally!

Is anyone else having problems with the Creative Console Lancher in Windows XP? It crashes if I double click the icon on the system tray. If I launch it with a single click, then select something, then it only crashes every other time. I've tried reinstalling it from the disk and from the web with no luck.
Am I the only one using the software or is nobody else having issues with it?
haha never installed one piece of software :P ... just got the drivers i needed ... sorry :/
BIOS 801 Pulled from the website..........
anyone know why?
would be better if in DDR3
again .. what do we called this mobo in DDR3 platform ?
Bios 0802 is on .com.tw FTP

bought this board and i got to say that the heat pipe thingie SUCKS !!!!. when i firts time fired upt the system i could not believe my eyes the NB temps were 85c... huhuh !!
when i took the damn thing off i noticed that the part what shold have been touching the NB had really horrible contact .. but now that i've sorted that out this board seems really promising i could hit 560fsb with just air cooling.. no other board that i have had so far has been able to do that with my E8500 .. i think its time to hook up my cascade and see what this baby can really do

Has anyone tried flashing a P5Q-Deluxe with a Maximus II Formula BIOS to make a Maximus II Deluxe? How similar/dissimilar are the PCBs?
- i7 920 D0 // eVGA X58 SLI // 12GB G.Skill Ripjaws // HD6950 (6970 BIOS)
- Apogee XT // MCP655 // Thermochill PA120.3 // CM HAF 932
- OCZ Vertex 3 MI edition // ASUS Xonar DX // Corsair TX850
- HTC Incredible - Uber Kingdom Revolution ROM
I Must say this Board has been rock solid so far! I would like to push my e8400 to 4 GHz on Air (zalman 9700)
I am new to overclocking , so I am hoping someone with a similar setup could give me an idea where to start..
Right Now my Cpu Temp using real temp is 28C Core0 and Core1 30c Idle ( I hope with those temps I can reach 4GHz stable!
Should I use a 1:1 Ratio with the FSB? If so I would like to see these ram sticks at 1066 or Higher.
Thanks

i have OCZ ddr2 800 that shows up as ddr3 under the memory tab of CPU-Z and shows as ddr2 under the SPD. is there some memory incompatibilities for these memories on the mobo? i'm not sure if it's the BIOS fault or CPU-Z is just reading it wrong. currently using 0701 BIOS. one more thing, what's the difference if i put both sticks in both the blue or both the white memory slots? the manual says that putting the first two sticks in the two white slots can OC the memory better. is that really true? mine is currently in the blue slots
i dont think it works like that. they are two different mobos and have different BIOS. at least this is what i always thought it was so someone correct me if i'm wrong

I just ordered this from Newegg and will post my results next week. The reviews of the board seem promising but I'm a bit worried with the amount of ram stability issues XS members are mentioning. Hopefully the new bios will improve things for everyone.
I have the 2x2gb of G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ.
My only disappointment w/ the board is no Gate Express and no need for the sound card.
Could anyone boot at strap 400?

(Nevermind, first issue fixed itself with a reboot. No idea why, but I won't question it)
Edit: I've also installed my Xonar in the black PCI-E slot - do I have to turn off HD Audio in BIOS or whatnot, so it doesn't try to use it like the creative card, or doesn't that matter?
Second question still stands though

Windows 32-bit will only see 3gb or 3.2gb of your 4gb total. If you have Windows 64-bit, you will see and get all 4gb.
Thanks. I usually only use a 64 bit operating system, so it should all show up. My specific issue was that it POSTed at 3.2gb the first time after the BIOS flash, but after another reboot is back to seeing the full 4gb.
Any clue if disabling the onboard audio is necessary to use the black PCI-E slot? Also, is it just me or I can't seem to find a RAM divider in the bios anywhere. I'm sure its somewhere, but nothing I've pressed so far gives me the predictable menu of ratios I'm used to?
