ASUS's webserver has some old pages cached or something.. I tried USA and it doesnt show up.. but shows up on Global for me... close your browser and reopen it and see if you can't get connected to another server that shows it, or just download from the rapidshare.

And about this bios. Is he fixing something more than memory? I have no problems with my crucial but i have problem with OC my qx9650. My stable settings are 4300mhz at 1.5v and all other voltages +0.1. Now when i set 4400 in many combinations(10x440 11x400 etc.) i cant make my cpu stable. But on my other Abit Quad GT x38 i have stable 4470 at 1.5v Any ideas how to set voltages or othes settings? Meaby GTL? - i have it on AUTO... Anyone can help me to understand all the settings in bios?
0801 BIOS is officially out on ASUS usa site ...
what is the BIOS name for setting the FSB: DRAM ratio? mine is 5:6 right now and im trying to get 1:1 for more stability
dunno why the HD's on the intel controller show as IDE in Device manager instead of AHCI. All the HD's are labeled under IDE.
That is something that should be looked at.
HDTune shows NCQ enabled but that isn't an IDE property
There is somthing strange with this board. I can have stable 4270mhz with 1.46v but i cant make cpu stable at 4400 and even 1.55! Any ideas?
801 fixed the SATA device priority of the Speeding HDD ports to Device6, so now it should be listed as the last drive during a new windows install, instead of the first drive, which is how it should of been.
Im more concerned with chipset functionality over OC.
The drives displaying as IDE in device manager are still there, perhaps a P45 driver update will fix it.
And its not set as IDE on bios, its set as AHCI in bios, so it quite odd.
I did a prime 95 with a lowly 266FSB, and it hit 52*C. Quite high, so i dont think the heatspreader is making proper contact, even though i tightened all the screws on the back to a point where they wouldnt turn without severe force.
Yer, i will do that on the weekend.
The thread depth inside the heatspreaders must stop the screws penetrating any further.
Finally got the q9450 to 500x8 with some stability
Sure Most settings are on auto though, and I haven't optimized the voltages, so some are probably higher than necessary.

rubbish ROG(nightmare) products ..

I call B.S.
From the manual;
"The system automatically shuts down when the northbridge or southbridge chipset is heated over the set temperature to protect it from damage.
Configuration options: Disabled, 70*C, 80*C, 90*C.
I think YOU did something wrong.
And if you disabled it, YOUR FAULT.
my NB was at a nice 45C right out of the box .... so maybe i got lucky with that one ... but i tightened the screws on everything just a little so maybe ill have another 1-2C drop when i finally get my board up and running again tomorrow with the new ram .... i hope...
got some corsair 2x2GB dominators PC2-8500
Hello there!!!
This are some OC tests on the MF2:
FSB Max on e8400
H24 on Q6600
FSB Max on Q6600
FSB Max on X3350
These are just some tests, not really the definitive one. Quite hard to do something nice with that suck' NB
Something nice on that MB: It needs less "voltage" to run. And by the way, it push away some limits (on MF1, my Q6600 stays @ about 470, here I can do some 510)
I'm on 604 bios, 701's not really fit for me. Not try the 801 yet
And Q6600 won't boot with strap 400 ...
See ya

Can anyone tell me if the black PCI-E 1X connector that is supposed to be used for the SupremeFX pseudo-XFi, can also be used like a regular PCI-E 1X slot? I would like to put my Asus Xonar there, but I don't want the board to freak out if that black slot is somehow reserved, gimped, or otherwise only supposed to be for the audio addon card. Thanks.
