Got a couple of questions. I'm going to be painting the inside of my HAF black, and I want to do it correctly so I am going to take out all the rivets and take the case completely apart to paint it. So my question is does anyone know the size of the rivets I will need to put the case back together?
Also, I came across THIS UV paint, and was thinking it would be cool to incorporate it somehow. What I was thinkin was put on the acid etch primer, a couple of coats of satin black, and then a couple of coats of that UV paint. But I do not know if that UV paint is clear and only visible under a UV light, or if it is blue and just glows brighter blue under UV light.
Do you have a Ultra Violet light in your case, is that why your fluid is illuminated with that awesome blue color?
also some more pics at other angles would be nice, i just ordered my HAF and water cooling gear
just finished my second coat of Primer.. be doing more painting and wet sanding tomorrow.

I'm working on getting a few more red fans from CM!! I also have painted the inside black. I'm a nub at painting, but I would say it came out very well. Pics later.
drilling off rivets - i used (household) battery drill with blade (bore) 3.8mm,
when got that one broken then took next 4.0mm blade ..
BTW .. you do not need to drill through the case (rivet) sometimes it just drop off after the upper part of rivet was drilled away ..
when put together my HAF .. i used 3.2/8 mm (alu ) rivets
sorry don't know about UV paint .... mine was powder coated Black Matte (semi-gloss)

Temp are very good, depends on ambient. Mostly 55degrees max for my q6600@3.6, 60degrees at 3.8Ghz (prime95). Fans@800rpm
Excuse the wire management. It's not finished yet as I am wainting on 2 plates for NB and Video block.

wow nice rig
but can you close the side door?
the temp with this monster wc?
Ok I got a couple of questions. I drilled out all the rivets from my HAF so now the case is completely taken apart. I have sanded all the inside parts down to the bare metal and its ready to be painted. I read the painting 101 sticky and it talks about "acid etch primer" which brings me to my first question, is "self etching primer" the same as "acid etch primer"? And my second question is should I put some screws in all the holes on the mobo tray that holds the motherboard in before I paint the mobo tray? I'm imagining in my head that if I dont, when I go to put the screws for the mobo in it will either not fit because of the primer and paint and clear coat, or it will somehow chip the paint.
A few questions:
1. Would I be able to get a good internal water cooling setup for an overclocked i920 (plus the Mosfet, NB, and SB) and GPU(s) (possibly on separate loops)?
2. What is the optimal radiator setup? 120.2 on the top and bottom with the PSU up top? What can fit in the 5.25" bays?
3. How useful is that nozzle at the top? What's the best way to connect it to a reservoir?
This case looks fantastic, especially in my case as I'm wanting a good air-cooling case with perfect cable management, with water cooling options down the line. The hole behind the motherboard for the heatsink bracket is a very nice touch as well, after wrestling with the V8. After looking at countless cases to replace my Cosmos 1000 I may have finally settled on this one.

when i prepared mine to powder coating i put the ''spare screws ''
into almost every screw hole ( mobo holder(risers) holes .. but
i did NOT FASTEN .. just left in half way because i wanted the paint filled the area under the screw head ,so only the screw hole area (inside the hole) masked
.. but this is just for powder paint as this comes much harder and thicker than ordinary paint. though i forgot some to mask and then used a piercer to get through, nibbling away the paint and then just screwed in a screw(bolt) once or twice to the end ..
if you go with common paint (i mean not going to heat up your parts for dry out) You can use any piece of wood /friction match/ pieces of cotton / or just balled-up some piece of masking tape .. to put it into these holes,
try with some other piece first .. its possible that you do not need this hole masking at all with common paint method

When Mercedes brought their C111 to Talledega years ago and blew away the closed course record did it count? Yes..
That was a "factory" car and a "one of" that no one could buy and was never sold.
Records are records and that is a fact so get over it.
Says HAF-mini on the side, looks quite decent actually

Will tell you one thing, I just painted my haf satin black, primed first an let it dry. Definitely need to use an ETCHING PRIMER, its just not enough to grip the steel.
New pics of my case , sorry for the quality all i can find is my camera phone
it was hard to not put cables in the drive bay area but i knew i needed the air in there for better cooling
Is it possible to fit a Thermochill PA120.3 in the top of this without modification? I've been considering getting one.
